You keep on repeating this. The answer is very easy. I don't know why you don't get it.

General Betrayus is rumored to be Flynn's replacement.

Charged-but-not-convicted-felon-because-he-plead-to-a-lesser-charge Betrayus might have a hard time doing his job without a security clearance, right?

Gee, and here you supported and voted for Trump/Pence, and yet Trump's choice for vice president is an example of such extremism and insanity. Who woulda thunk?

Flynn resigning for misleading Pence is fine, but nothing he did was illegal. It's not improper for him to speak with a Russian ambassador.

What's disgusting is intel chiefs using resources to spy on political opponents and then leaking to the press. This is Clapper/Brennan/Yates' doing, and they seem to have zero fear of prosecution.

Speaking to Russian government officials about removing a sanction that was JUST ENACTED by the reisiding president without the permission of the residing president is illegal.

    We don't have two presidents.

Spying is a black box that is a bit concerning. But let's not throw out politically motivated accusations without any proof. The investigation of Russian involvement started well before the election.

Doubtful this is the end of it. We will see how illegal this get.

If you are not OK with the US game of spy, I hope you speak out loudly against the Russian game of hacking, interference and influence to favor Trump... Wait, you didn't care.

Did they discuss unravelling a sanction that was JUST enacted by the administration?
If they did, it's illegal. There are reasons why we have these statutes.

Valid point on the intelligence apparatus, but this context was a citizen talking to a foreign diplomat. I believe they are explicitly allowed to monitor this, especially since they are allowed to eavesdrop on practically anyone domestic and international. Now, had Flynn said yes I spoke with Russia then there would be some outrage but he'd still be on the inside. This would be true even if it could be shown he was talking on behalf of the US when he lacked the authority to do so. Instead he is caught calling Russia the day we put out sanctions for their election interference and Trump produces a cryptic tweet about Putin at the same time. Clearly Trump and some of his highest advisors have a much deeper relationship with Russia than they are willing to admit. Intelligence agencies are clearly worried. Major GOP senators like Graham and McCain claim they are worried.

If this indeed goes deeper and more people are found to implicit in this conspiracy, it will be a very dark day for the US.

Trump even reportedly told Japan's Abe that Japan should have a better relationship with Russia.

As usual, a perfectly timed update from the world of coincidences :

And to everyone saying thank you. You are welcome. Stay informed. Keep other people informed. Follow the facts. Verify everything. Together we can do more.

Megapost time since we've had quite a lot of activity the past few days. Bear with me and read up if you aren't aware. I'm going to continue to re-post this with additions and refinements as-needed over the coming months.

Do NOT let Flynn take the fall for this story

Current number of Resignations over Russia ties : 3 Flynn, Manafort, Page.

    -Info-

    The Intelligence Community

Our own intel agencies and spies are withholding information from the White House because of the concern that it has been compromised by Russia :

Trump has a relationship with Putin, which he has denied in recent times:

An interesting bit of data related to Killed or wounded in action numbers of Ukraine/DNR forces in the Donbass region for 2017 so far (If anyone can find a reliable source for this data please let me know, I can only seem to find "an uptick in aggression" without numbers.) :

Flynn ( National Security Advisor) - RESIGNED

Seemingly has a relationship with Putin :

    http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2016...ns-about-putins-influence-over-us-policy.html

And apparently discussed sanctions with Russia:

    http://thehill.com/business-a-lobby...should-be-removed-if-he-talked-sanctions-with

The White House knew about Flynn communication with Russia :

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...5dab88-f228-11e6-8d72-263470bf0401_story.html

Flynn has now resigned (right after the above article was posted) :

    http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/13/polit...te-house-national-security-adviser/index.html

Manafort (Former Trump Campaign Advisor) - RESIGNED

Seemingly has ties to Russia (and was paid by Russia) :

    https://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/15/us/politics/paul-manafort-ukraine-donald-trump.html

    FBI was looking into this

    http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...trump-campaign-manager-s-foreign-ties-n675881

Truth about Manafort coming out angered Russia :

    http://www.politico.com/story/2016/12/russia-ukraine-trump-manafort-232101

    Tillerson (Trump Secretary of State)

Tillerson gets put as Sec of State, has a relationship with Putin:

    http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-rex-tillerson-vladimir-putin-russia-exxon-2016-12

Right after Tillerson is confirmed House removes transparency rule :

    http://www.vox.com/2017/2/1/14477314/oil-companies-disclosure-rule-tillerson

    DNC Hack

Russia was directly responsible for the hack according to all government sources we have and additional independent sources that worked on behalf of the DNC. We've since announced sanctions and additional retaliation for those actions.

If we see sanctions getting rolled back at all its more or less the final nail in the coffin. Everything since the Dossier seems to confirm the info in the Dossier. Or we just happen to have an awful lot of Russia ties for seemingly no reason at all.

    Bonus:

Are we still doubting that Dossier? Or is the Flynn resignation due to a Russia scandal enough to start getting through to people to maybe take it a bit more seriously?

Weird how you were certain Hillary did something with Benghazi and should be in jail despite no evidence. But here, you don't even know the evidence but you're certain he did nothing illegal.

Love seeing the Trump train starting to crumble, it was inevitable whenever someone as unqualified as him was put in that position.

All of the Benghazi Freedom Fighters:

The Observer story from John Schindler is really remarkable. The baseless accusations from @Commodore that suggest it's only former Obama-era intelligence officials leaking material is laughable until he shows us his high security clearance credentials. Until then, I'll consider columns from an extremely well-sourced journalist like Schindler, who has said he "doesn't have a liberal bone in [his] body," over an anonymously partisan BBS poster.

We have someone who loves all the pomp and circumstance of holding the title of 'President' and bragging about it. But that's about it.

    Shows what you know!

Every day and twice on Sunday. The threat to Obamacare, gay rights and abortion rights are about as severe under Trump as they would be with Pence. Were you thinking that Trump was standing in the way of a big roll to the right on these issues? The difference I see is that Pence likely has more respect for the Constitution and the courts, doesn't surround himself with white nationalists, and isn't in bed with Putin.

That's exactly why Trump would like him. I think he picked Flynn because of his past troubles. Having been formerly disgraced, Trump could count on Flynn doing his dirty work without worrying he'd stand on principle or find some other benefactor. If Flynn wanted to be anyone, he'd have to ride Trump's coattails to do it, which means he has to do all the unethical and illegal things Trump might need. He got caught by the media so Trump dumped him to save himself. Now, he's looking at another disgraced (but well-liked!) general to do the dirty work.

Good post, and I think you're more right than I'm comfortable with. Flynn took the fall this time but Trump is dirty. I hope this works out as well as Watergate, and the journalists can be heroes again. But Watergate was incredible then, and it seems like the challenge of rooting out corruption has only gotten harder since then.
