Good riddance. Great talent, but let Lousyana keep him. It's now obvious that Texas was only his choice when Vince was struggling. After a dominating performance in the Rose Bowl(Just me...I thought a RB win would help us in recruiting, instead we lose two guys who we were leading on in Perriloux and Bennett), Perriloux realized there was no way in hell he would see the field next year(Barring injury) and probably the year after that as well. This class could have been absolutely killer with Bennet, Perriloux, Charles, Miller, and Rouse. Regardless of what we would actually end up ranked, that would be the #1 class in the nation. Instead, we are looking at a quite unspectacular class with only (I'd say) two can't-miss-types. I don't think RP kept us from getting any QB's, but he could have. It's also pretty ****ing ridiculous that he told one of the recruiting sites that he was still a Texas committ like the day before(Or it may have been Monday) signing day.
Don't forget the bacon on the grilled cheese sandwiches because bacon makes the grilled cheese sandwich
Wouldn't say traitor. I think he and his stepdad are morally bankrupt though. If you're not coming to Texas, just tell the TExas coaches. Rumor has it he didn't even call Mack or Sly Crooms today. Have some integrity. Heard his parents got new jobs all of a sudden.
No. According to his dad, RP is the most accurate passer in all of football (including the pros) and he would have eventually beaten out VY. I think that had little to do with it though. Allegedly, this guy was recruiting for LSU while he was a UT commit.
for anyone that cares, there are rumblings that (lol who needs sources) Norm Chow may be out at USC. edit: apparently this info came from the radio station that said Matt Leinart was going to the NFL
As far as I'm concerned, colleges use these kids and toss them out like yesterdays trash at the drop of a hat.. so I'm glad to see a student athlete totally screw over a school every once in a while. Unless it's my college, of course, then they can burn in hell.

Haha, any other year Horns fans all over would be jumping for joy on National signing day. Funny how this year it all of a sudden "doesn't mean that much".
Tech and Baylor cleaned up from what I hear. UH's list just came out. Seems really bland, but one of the largest signing classes in the nation (around 30, I think). Should be a few gems in there.
Yawn yawn yawn, and how many times have you mockingly used the phrase "Coach February"??? Maybe that's what Stoops is now, cause while's he's definitely still Coach October, he's certainly not Coach December or January anymore, blah blah blah All sports fans are hypocrites in this regard, just accept it and move on.
That's not the same thing, is it? You can jump for joy to get top players, but it only helps your chances, it guarantees nothing. Furthermore, even if you do desire to overstate the difference between a 2 and 20 recruiting class, at least try to comprehend what it means. In this instance, it could indicate good news for the Horns. If OU and UT both used all of their scholarships, then the incoming guys are comparable (3.63 v 3.60 avg rating per player, well within the range of statistical error I'm certain since these assessments are nothing but experts' guesses), yet UT will field a more exprienced team. Essentially, OU was ranked a lot higher because they have to replace more players - 27, vs Texas' 15. http://rivals100.rivals.com/teamrank.asp
