That hasn't been what you've been spreading around forums. You're saying the rockets have absolutely no chance, thats what you've been spreading.

At this stage, if any rocket fans don't believe we have a chance, they are not a rocket fan. Why? Our 22 game win streak as well as our playoff berth proved all experts wrong, all experts wrong.

So if you're saying we don't have a chance, you haven't learnt anything and you haven't been watching Rockets. I will brand you as a troll, and so will many others.

I said it before the Jazz and Spurs are the only 2 teams in the playoffs we cant beat out West without our best player for a entire series. Sorry cant see it happening but would like to see it happen. I think with Yao Ming he is just enough to beat everybody out West including the Jazz and Spurs.

Last year it was because of the supporting cast.

This year it wont be because of the supporting cast but it will be because without our best player.

Take it with a grain of salt.

Adelman vs Sloan saga will continue and Adelman might lose this because we all know why it will be braught up again. 5-1 his only loss was his first year with the Kings and should be 5-2 another loss because of his first year with Rockets.

Jazz is one team that crushed Boston in Boston this year. Sure they might have a lousy road record but they are still one of the best teams when it comes to beating the top 8 teams out West. They do win the games on the road against top teams too and are almost unbeatable at home and this is not a good combination for the Rockets.

I would not be suprised if it ends up a sweep.

You have no heart and faith. I will say that.
By the way, our 22 game win streak brought us to a level that was enough to brand us as 1 of the top 3 teams for a while. If we bring in the same energy, its dejavu.

At least you're jinxing, i guess... By the way, I'm tired of saying this but what we've done so far this year proves that we can beat Jazz. You should know that too. I'm also facing reality if you want to know, cause reality = 22 game win streak.

We can beat anyone but not without our best player for a entire series.

    Prove me wrong though.

The 22 game win streak was no fluke it was a cinderella. I think it was do to teams not knowing exactly how to defend us a team and when Yao went down only made it to where teams had no set game plan to defend us which prevailed it even farther. It was nice but that was the regular season and this is the playoffs.

Exactly. By the way, T-mac has never played the same team twice in playoffs in his career. You get this feeling that he won't be committing a second mistake, afterall, the guy is a playoff monster.

I swear there are so many idiots out there and in here. Ummm... the Rockets won more games than the Jazz. Does that not count for anything? They were one of only 4 teams to beat the Jazz at home. Does that not count for anything? They won 22 in a row and their record against the top teams in the west is comparable to any other team is the west. Does that not count for anything? Writing the Rockets off is a big mistake. And even if all these tards end up being right and the Rockets do get swept or lose in whatever amount of games they predicted, they really didn't know. I really can't see how people can say it is so obvious the Rockets are going to lose. I just can't see it. The Rockets are a GOOD team. The Jazz are a GOOD team. Neither is incredibly dominant. Neither sucks. As their records indicate, they are about even. And I hate the Jazz. So...

My prediction: Rockets in 6. Take it to the bank.

Cinderella doesn't play basketball. I hate that stupid analogy.

And don't under estimate (I know its easy, but try a little loyalty) the ability of the Rockets to adjust to the Jazz or their defense.

Im no idiot now. Just a realist and no i wont be suprised if it ends up a sweep and wont be disappointed either.
T-Mac a playoff monster correct but that could be what gets us sweeped if not playing like we did during the streak which means everybody must play like a monster not just T-Mac. I would like us to win it but the odds are and probably aint gonna happen. Alston is out and he was one of those monsters.
They was 1 of 4 teams to beat the Jazz at full strength at their building.

I kinda like being the clear underdog (with HCA). Well all of our guys have to play to their best potential to win this series. We will have to see how our rookies react to the playoffs, and if Battier can step up his offensive game. T-Mac will have to play well every given night and Alston should come back soon. All in all I think this will be a long series, possibly going to game 7.

Ye, Ironically we're the 1 of 4 teams to beat Jazz at their palace. Like I said many times, none of the so called "realist" thought we could be in the playoffs and go on a 22-game win streak. So how much of a realist do you have to be in order to believe that winning 4 games against Utah is impossible?

Truth is i care less to what experts have to say i give my opinion and try to be as real about it and has nothing to do with what they say. I never said it was impossible. Like i said we are 1 of 4 teams to beat the Jazz in their palace at full stregnth so your odds are just about as good as mine because nothing is wrote in stone as of yet.

Indeed, then please don't say we have no chance. Cause we have just as good a chance as anyone else.

    Show the rocket spirit :D

Realist in me = Jazz in 5 or 6; but I'm hoping for the Rockets in any number of games!

Saying that the Jazz will probably win does not make anyone a "bad rockets fan".

I think the Jazz will win. I think the'll win pretty easily.

But I will still be wearing all my lucky rockets gear, sitting in the lucky spot on the couch, trying not to say anything that could possibly jinx the team, texting my friends like a madman, screaming at tracy for his heat checks, cursing at every flop, grab, foul, uncalled foul, obvious uncalled foul, and the other obvious uncalled foul that happened on the same play, hearing my own heart beat louder than the tv before the game starts, turning the tv off at least six times when luther tries to dribble and I can't watch, wagging my finger at nobody at least a couple of times, throwing the remotes around . . . all of that. I'll still stand up in my living room and give the rockets my one man standing ovation whenever the series ends, because I know this series is going to be a freaking war and the players will have given it everything they had to give whether we win or lose. I just think, that when that moment arrives and I give them that applause . . . it'll be for fighting a good fight, representing houston better than we could have hoped given all the injuries, and giving us an amazing season of mostly overachieving, clenched-teeth inspiring basketball.

    Not for beating the Jazz.

Utah is a lot better than alot of people here are giving them credit for. a lot.

make no mistake, many things have to go the rockets' way for them to win this series. this isnt the ncaa tournament where one team can get a couple of breaks and win one game against a superior opponent and advance. the seven game series is designed such that the superior team should win. the jazz are a superior team. they have more size than you, more strength than you, are just as well coached, cause a number of critical matchup problems, are more efficient than you, have the best home court in basketball, are more confident than you, healthier than you, and, lest we forget, their offense is built around the single indefensible play in the game, negating much of the rockets' defensive advantage.

in short, there are a lot of reasons why the rockets should lose this series. if they win, it will be because of something extraordinary. and it will be extraordinary. here's hoping.

if the rockets are in a position to win the series, I am going to turn off the tv and turn up the radio in the whole house just to hear Gene make the call.

    "how sweet it is!"

Reminds me of this years Superbowl, nobody picked the Giants. Any team that can win 22 games in a row, 10 without Yao has the right stuff to get it done. It is on Mcgrady especially with Alston out, he is going to be be bringing the ball up as a PG frequently. The guy has to play smart, think attack, defend and play perfect basketball for us to win.
