The refs were asleep on that play also, because Nate took 3 steps to turn & shoot. Even with the rules clarification, that's a travel call.

It would have been so awesome if that shot went off in time and was counted and the knicks proceed to lose by 2.

good lord it wasn't a big deal. It was after the buzzer. The travel was probably after the buzzer too

    D'antoni really can't take a joke.

It should be easy for him since his team is one.

That's gotta be frustrating. The NBA is no joke...Nate Robinson is treating it that way. I know it's only one play with .5 left in the quarter, but regardless, it wasn't a good decision.

no need to be surprised people, as a lifelong knick fan, we all know nate robinson is a circus act, he tried to bounce an alley oop to himself once and f'ed up during the middle of the game mind you, not a blowout.

then there was that moment vs phily last year where he was ding all thsi fancy dribbling and the shot clock ran out

larry brown was once quote as saying when he was coaching the knicks that a lot of his young players lacked iq, and one guy even asked him "coach, how do i know what the shot clock time is?"

he didnt name names, but i always suspected it was nate.

D'Antoni has always been a drama queen.

With the time remaining on the inbound I would rather my player make a last second heave at the right basket before time expires to try and put points on the board.

    I would also be pissed.

So would I, but as a super 6th man coming almost always off the bench. Jason Terry-like role.

Apparently the basket would not have counted anyway under NBA rules, the result would have been a turnover - so Robinson is partially vindicated:

All you have to do now is make in your own basket, Nate.
