The President will retweet one of these crackpots before he makes a dignified statement, or any statement for that matter.
My 2 cents. The bomber had some type of acquaintance with the business owners and had a terminal illness anyways. He thought he could help out by procuring insurance relief money for them. The pandemic piled on debts and destroyed the consumer base for these businesses and there was no other way.
Speaking as someone surrounded by QAnon nuts in my family they are ALL posting this conspiracy theory all over social media in the past 48 hours. This is the talking point of the right at the moment. It's all about Dominion voting machines, and Trump grievances about a "stolen" election. As for motive of this man, he seems to have done a heck of alot of planning prior so it's not unheard of for him to have scrubbed his online footprint so we don't know for sure, and it can be food for conspiracy. Who knows, but it's certainly possible it's QAnon inspired, and it is DEFINITELY QAnon beneficial to their narrative & extremist ideology. So does it really matter at this point if it is benefiting the extremist ideology of QAnon this much? Terrorist inspired vs Terrorist benefiting.... should we really decipher the difference that much???? People need to wake up and realize that QAnon is a major problem. It isn't funny anymore, and the FBI need to get serious about calling this ideology out as a potential political terrorist ideology.
Tennessee is still known for the birth place of the KKK, backwoods incest fornicate with your the sister in the back of a trailer while waiving the confederate flag, vote Trump 2020. Yeah, Nashville is more upscale and socially things have gotten better but surely you know property gone that much up. Besides the insurance payout would easily be over a million for each of the business owners rather than a couple hundred thousand for sold estates. And maybe there were kickbacks for the bomber's immediate family or others.
I’ll reiterate it’s the intent you are serving vs actual intent that needs to matter more than it does. Columbus’ intent was to find a trade route to Asia but discovered the Caribbean. We don’t sit around all day in class discovering Columbus’ intent to trade with Asia... we talk about the importance of discovering the new world and what that meant. This man acted and died in service to a massive disruption of communications that exposed major vulnerabilities and gave life to an active and dangerous conspiracy theory. That’s pretty much the story here imo.
He's not a terrorist in the traditional sense and he tried his best to provide a safety net for those in proximity while taking into account the time of day for for the least collateral damage / human casualties. Basically a Robinhood "Dennis Hopper from Speed 1994" based on his technical skills. This was all carefully planned for insurance payouts.
He is a terrorist. He intentionally blew up an RV on a business street and put people's lives in peril regardless of the time of day. Police officers were in danger. He didn't know if workers would be in those buildings. He didn't know if folks would be out walking or driving.
I get your point, but I want to quibble with the use of the word terrorist/terrorism. Those words have a specific meaning with regard to intent. Like even if he wanted to kill people, if the sole purpose was murder because he's a sick b*stard that isn't terrorism.
Considering we don't know his intent and if there are others that may be planning other attacks, how is it not terrorism? If his name was Mohammed Ahk Warren it would be terrorism.
This. The IRA used to release to the press the area where a bomb was to limit human casualties from time to time.... it was still terrorism.
I am not saying it's not terrorism. I'm saying we don't know what it was other than act of destruction and violence at this point. Terrorism is certainly in play.
