Btw Donny, congratulations on entering the 5 green bar club -- I look forward to your posts in the secret forum [avoid B-Bob].
Nothing more exciting than seeing a car drive around in a circle for 4 hours... Seriously it is mindless, boring and not a sport. To call it a sport is an insult to real ATHLETES who train tirelessly and put in hours studying film and working out to provide real entertainment in a real atmosphere with real rivalries and a real story to the game. of ALL races NASCAR is the worst. F1 racing is the real deal with actual turns and speed issues, where the leader of the pack EARNED that position by making smart brakes and timely turns. NASCAR is boring and the only excitement comes when people flip their stupid looking tatted up cars. This opinion isnt DIRTY its the truth.
Now that I have the keys to the clutchfans executive washroom, I do believe the phrase "there goes the neighborhood" comes to mind.
I've been a NASCAR fan since I was 5 years old (I'm 33 now), and I could care less about what other people's opinion is of the sport. People like what they like, and I'm not gonna knock them for their interest. I go to both of the Texas races each year. A NASCAR race in person is a hell of an experience.
The nationwide series race I went to was a blast. I can't wait till Bristol, the fastest half mile in the world! I love short track racing!
Bull riding nuance: STAY ON BULL. HOLD ON FOR A WHILE. NASCAR nuances: Pretend it's a sport. Go left. Try to sound smart talking about air currents. <object width="480" height="430"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://www.theonion.com/content/themes/common/assets/onn_embed/embedded_player.swf?image=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.theonion.com%2Fcontent%2Ffiles%2Fimages%2FNASCAR_0.jpg&videoid=64433&title=NASCAR%20Coach%20Reveals%20Winning%20Strategy%3A%20'Drive%20Fast'" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><embed src="http://www.theonion.com/content/themes/common/assets/onn_embed/embedded_player.swf"type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="always" allowFullScreen="true" wmode="transparent" width="480" height="430"flashvars="image=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.theonion.com%2Fcontent%2Ffiles%2Fimages%2FNASCAR_0.jpg&videoid=64433&title=NASCAR%20Coach%20Reveals%20Winning%20Strategy%3A%20'Drive%20Fast'"></embed></object><br /><a href="http://www.theonion.com/content/video/nascar_coach_reveals_winning?utm_source=videoembed">NASCAR Coach Reveals Winning Strategy: 'Drive Fast'</a> Jeff Dunham does comedy? I thought he was a sleep aid.
I was watching once and I saw this car pass by this other car and they were both turning left and I was like WOW THAT WAS AWESOME and then I saw another car pull over and the car was getting fixed so fast and I thought WOW I WISH MY MECHANIC WAS THAT FAST LOL AM I RIGHT? and then all these cars were bumping into each other and I said IT MUST BE RUSH HOUR HAHAHA and then I ate a sandwich. But yeah, to each his own. Former Cleveland Cavalier great (it's Cleveland, we don't have incredibly high standards) Brad Daugherty is a die hard fan/commentator/analyst so I'm not going to knock it.
Also, it is very hard for me to give any leeway to a sport that lead to the death of Maude Flanders. She was such a Fox.
I treat my work week commute like NASCAR and find it much more of a sport than watching it on TV. Just don't slow down if I'm drafting.
For real. Much more interesting when you're in one than just watching it. It's like looking at a poster of Cancun and imagine you're there for me.
To each is own, but I think I can find something better to do on my weekends then watch cars drive around a track for 4 hours. Seriously, what has this country come to.......
Can we please make this a reality?? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Lt_2ZjktsD8&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Lt_2ZjktsD8&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I refuse to press the shift key even once when typing in nascar. What's worse is the little, red line that shows up after typing it with a capital "N." Screw nascar.
I actually watched the nationwide race on espn2 yesterday. It was actually pretty good and I enjoyed it. Anyone that thinks it does not take skill to drive one of those things is crazy. Danica was struggling so much at the start of the race just keeping the car on the track. I probably won't become a huge fan, but if its on and there is nothing else to see then I will definitely check it out. Here's the finish from yesterday. Not bad. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4WykWs8Lvu0&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4WykWs8Lvu0&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
