As much as I hope you are right, I think Chandler will go in the top 3, no worse than top 5.

I would be very happy if White were to fall to the Rockets spot, but I think that is almost as unlikely.

Monter Draft News says that Ousmane Cisse is expected to declare for the draft. He is 6'9" (supposedly) and averaged 29 pts, 16 boards, 13 blocks and 4 assists in high school. It's hard to say where he will go, but hopefully in the top 11, pushing down one more prospect.

    Mine has to be

    Ken Johnson
    Shane Battier
    Loren Woods

Johnson will definitely be available with one and maybe all of our picks and he is the one I want in a Rockets uniform the most. Battier and Woods would be questionable whether we could get them with one of our picks. If we were to get all three with our three picks, that would be a perfect draft in my mind, with Woods being the only one I would want to switch out of the list

Yeah it's sad to miss the playoffs, but these events are unwinding fantastically for the Rockets.

With 3 picks, I hope all decent guys declare.

Who knows, maybe we'll have a lotto ball fall our way. It's happened before.

Realistically, I like the combo that Rocketbooster names: Michael Bradley, Ken Johnson, and Joe Johnson.

Although, I wouldn't mind one of those big, talented high school kids with a potentially greater upside and I'd love to see us get Battier. That will happen only if we have lotto luck.

Battier won't be available at 12 or 13.

emoreland-Sprry man, I didn't know that you had posted something to this effect earlier. Well, good idea I guess! Anyway, I really hope that Wallace comes out. This guy will excell in this league on athletic skill alone. That is not to say he can play either. Free throws aside the guy is gifted. Gasol just sounds too much like a taller Nowitzki for me to pass on. I really dont like Woods, but neither of the other two picks are gonna be able to contribute numbers this soon consistently. Woods is a senior (Rudy's favorite) and is an upgrade over Collier and can hopefully replace Cato if we can trade him.

1.Gerald Wallace- in my opinion a future star
    2. Loren Woods- athletic center that blocks shots
    3. Richard Jefferson- extremely athletic defensive-minded player.

With everybody and their dog declaring for the draft this year, somebody has got to drop. Chandler could drop into the Rocks laps.

Believe it or not, depending on how the top 3 lottery picks go, if teams draft according to needs, Jason Richardson could actually fall to us at #12.

    * Based on that, I think we should look at:

#13 - Dejuan Wagner (if he comes out), Rodney White, or Wallace
#22 - Troy Murphy, Joe Forte, or Pau Gausol
#23 - Gausol, Forte or Delambert(if he comes out) or Ken Johnson

All the premier centers will be gone by our picks, but we could get some great SFs and SGs. At center, we'll have to trade for someone like Jackson or LaFrentz, hope that Dream comes back and Cato turns into something.

*Update: I made these comments before Seattle moved into the #12 position, and before Dunleavy made it clear he was staying. So, I updated the players, based on the #13 position.

I like what ROXTXIA posted in his first post but if I had to pick 3 guys, they all would be Senior players(thats what Houston usually pick):
    1st round:
1(Sr.)Terrance Morris 6'9/220 SF def. player
    2(Sr.)Jaron Collins 6'10/245 PF/C rebounder
    3(Sr.)Alvin Jomes 6'11/250 C shotblocker(??)

    Just my opinion.

    Joe Johnson, Battier, Richard Jefferson...

We have needed a SF for ages... We haven't had a GREAT one in ages...

    No, Horry was not great...

Whoever we draft as a SF will start immediately...

Whoever we draft at PF/C will be riding the pine...

This draft has too many Etan Thomas/Pryzbilla types...

What about the Glyde, wouldn't he be considered a great small forward.

Joe Joe, Even though Forte's stock had fallen, I think he will still be picked like late lottery-early nonlottery.

Glyde was a SG. I really don't see Jefferson going that high. He'll go before our other picks, but I think he's easily in reach at the 13. I think Rodney White fits Rudy T's mold better though. I'm up for picking up Morris with the 23 if he's there. Honestly, I think the most important quality we should be looking at in a SF is the ability to hit the spot-up 3 consistently. When Walt has big games, we win because that opens things up inside for Steve and Cuttino. The spot-up 3 will always be open. I'm up for drafting a great SF but I still hope Langhi can be our starting SF in time. I think he could be like Stojakovic in time.
