It was the combination of Jordan's acrobatics at the rim, Magic's handles and court vision, and bird's unreal shiftiness and insanely high basketball IQ. I'm a firm believer that at one point T-mac's body was better designed to dominate basketball than Jordans, then he ruined it..
T-Mac. I had all his Orlando gear. Was just getting into basketball. When he was traded to the Rockets I nearly exploded. Yao is a close second.
lmao tmac on the magic is so overrated on this board. he couldn't jump that high- probly 37 inch vert max and he was never very laterally quick great player in his prime, but not even close to prime jordan, magic... more like a prime penny hardaway
Before I moved to Houston in the mid-80's, I lived in Denver and I loved watching Alex English play. Very smooth, very fluid and could put the ball in the hoop all day long
Steve Francis. His dunking ability and flash pulled me in to the NBA. Living in Houston obv I pulled for the Rockets. I do remember watching John Stockton's game winning 3 whenever that was. So I dont recall really paying attention to Rockets bball until Steve was here.
Dream in the early nineties, since I was born in Houston. Oh, and Jim Jackson, for some reason. I liked him at Ohio State and wanted to watch him in the NBA. I used to love the Kidd/Mash/JJ Mavs, second to the Rockets of course. Heretical I know, but the 90s Mavs were just too awful to hate.
Wow, I don't even know what to say to that. T-Mac was a nice player, but he's never even been the best player in the league.
Allen iverson. Made everyone believe that you don't need height to be in the NBA. If you have enough heart and will power, you can do whatever you want. He got me hooked when he got to the finals.
