    Hakeem, cassell, horry then payton, miller, kidd, jordan-- now redick(in college), kobe

    so was in introduced with the rockets during the first championship and then just built from there

    The only reason why TMac was ever even remotely comparable to Kobe was because of Shaq. Without Shaq, Kobe would have demonstrated why he is an all time great and should no longer be mentioned along side Tracy. This is coming from a McGrady fan...Tracy McGrady was never better than Kobe Bryant.

    the only player i knew was Michael Jordan back in the 90s.
    then when i started playing basketball he was already retired.
    and at the time. Vince Carter and Allen Iverson were my idols.

    Pistol Pete, he did the most amazing things with a basketball. Wilt was another, he would dominate in this era.

    It has to be the Great Wall - Yao Ming.
    I wasn't hooked before... but ever since Yao... I am addicted to the Houston Rockets.
