Initially, you downplayed Marisnick by saying he wasn't as good as Everett at their respective positions.

Then, when numbers disprove you, you blow it off by saying, "SS is harder, anyways.

    Reading your posts is fun.

I think you need reading comprehension remediation... which makes sense given the fact that you've revealed your youngish age.

The numbers show Everett was just as good, if not better, an everyday defensive player... something that Marisnick is not. And yes, SS is a harder position. Doesn't mean CF is easy, but you can get away with playing a less athletic player there (not so much SS). Hence why despite Everett and Marisnick being unable to hit well... Everett got in the lineup more often than not when he was healthy(even when he left Houston to go to a lesser lineup).

Unfortunately, we can't say the same for yours... tread lightly, or you'll soon approach cangreouch's reputation (if you haven't already reached it...). You're taking stuff way too personally... a very GARM-like trait.

Exactly... which disproves your initial claim of Jake's not being as good.

    Who is "we"?

You think your opinions are shared across this board.. lol.

Not when you factor in the increased number of games he played there and the more unique skillset/demands of the position.

Just read every other response to this thread basically questioning your entire presumption and plain existence of the thread... Again, reading comprehension. Maybe you'll figure it out once you start (or finally finish) high school.

I like Jake, but I'd personally rather have Brandon Barnes

Why did you type "as good" then, Nick?... YOU typed that.

If playing SS is so much more difficult than CF, why even introduce such an obvious advantage in Everett?

Because you want to be difficult
    The thread is about CFs.
How could you not comprehend that?
If I'm High School, you're Elementary

I don't mind the dialogue or learning.

If the thread bothers you so much, why are you here?

    To be difficult

Forgot which baseball video game it was, but I'd get lead off bunts with him on the Marlins all the time because he had the highest speed rating in the game. Tons of fun playing with him.

I imagine there were a lot of scrubs who were great in the field, but quickly forgotten. Jake will be one of those guys.

You don't post here much, but the Astros have an extra beastly defensive CF in Jake Marisnick.

I wanted his skills compared historically.

    Probably EA Sports' Triple-Play ~'93

I should've pumped the brakes on a few comments.

    Thread was decent enough

Marisnick is in an elite class defensively

Bill Mazeroski won a WS and made the HOF by hitting an epic HR and being the best defensive 2B baseball had seen in years.....

Few comments, meaning, the extracurricular against other posters.

Other than that, it's OBVIOUS the thread regards defensive CFs.

    So obvious, it's elementary ;)
