Wrong... CLEARLY, I didn't recall Robert playing the 4. Horace Grant had a good series too. 14pts/12rebs 55% FG

That being said I'd choose Horry for the OP.

hands down a four... if not a current player... Chuck Hayes... then definitely a past four... Otis gets the vote overall

Big Shot Bob is a long athletic stretch 4 who rebounds & can D multiple positions. And he is clutch 3 pt shooter who does not need a lot of touches. Better fit than Landry, Hayes or Mo Taylor. Horry is also a better player than either Patterson or Morris.

Not only is Horry perfect fit for this current team but he fits OP criteria of role player. Drexler, OT, Sampson, Maxwell, etc. we're NOT role players. They 2nd or 3rd options, far from role players.

Elie, Rice and other wings or guards mentioned are redundant because they duplicate a position that is not a need so impact is minimized.

Horry, young or old, is the best choice. If OP said to add any former Rocket the greats like Dream, Calvin, Moses, Elvin, Barkley, Glide, Sampson, McGrady would obviously be the most popular.

guy is truly a class act and can educate Dwight and Harden on how to be professionals
