Jeff, you guys blew it. After you guys (Cereal) went your seperate ways after selling more albums than Elvis and The Beatles combined. They would have started a radio program in your honor: "Breakfast with Cereal" For those not in the know, there is a "Breakfast with the Beatles" radio show every Sunday morning.
Now that this thread has served it's purpose, your next objective it to count the number of potential band names that would have been copyright or trademark violations.
No kidding! Just to add to it, there were actually about a half dozen names from the board we considered. The two finalists really were Orange Is In and Big Yellow Garage. We just decided Big Yellow Garage was wrong for us for three reasons: 1. That could be interpreted as a Joni Mitchell cover band. 2. Being an internet nerd, I tend to think in terms of design and the name was kinda long to make something interesting. 3. I just wasn't sure I wanted yellow as a color in our name. Not a fan of that color.
You missed your chance at using two of the classic acid concoctions of the '60's... Orange Sunshine and Purple Double-Dome. ("an eighth is plenty, dude... do more than a quarter and you'll be trippin' for 2 days!")
