Mostly Najera isn't dirty. Well maybe a little, but it isn't like he is Bill Laimbeer/Charles Oakley dirty, mostly Najera is hustling and trying to have the most impact he possibly can have with his level talent. I also don't think he has a lack of talent, but he isn't particularly talented. If KT--with equal or more both strength and quickness than Najera--would adopt more of Najera's attitude of making the most of his minutes and do whatever roles neccesary to help the team it would help the Rockets win games immensely.

Mostly He is dirty, and a cheap shot artist that trys to hurt the other player. He did for 4 years at Oklahoma and has not changed a bit, only gotten better. He is a smaller version of Karl Malone, so if you like Malone as a player you would like Najera. I have never had a use for Malone and do not Najera, and would hate to see the Rockets ever have a player whos best part of his game was trying to put the opposing players out with a broken nose, concusion or maybe a broken bone. Playing hard and playing dirty is two different things.

I agree. You can't start that sort of rough play, but you absolutely must respond in kind. Even without Najera's dirty play, I think you have to play way more physically against a team like Dallas -- anything to get them out of their comfort zone. But especially after the crap that punk was pulling, the Rockets should have the attitude that they need to protect their big man -- in the sense that a pitcher protects his team by giving the other guys a little chin music when the opposing pitcher comes too far inside.

I think we're going to have to expect this type of play more from other teams -- they're going to be targeting Ming. And we have to "communicate" to them that we're not going to take that crap.

Of course, I would have loved to see Ming protecting himself by introducing his elbows to that thug *******'s face.

Somebody needs to hit this guy in the mouth everytime he steps on the court.

The only question is who is more annoying. Najera or douchebag Nash.

Najera IS NOT A DIRTY PLAYER! HE'S A VERY TOUGH PLAYER!!!

He's like Mario Ellie. He's like Michael Cooper. He's like Bill Laimbeer!

These are players you love to hate, except when they are ON YOUR TEAM.

I love the way this guy plays. He out hustled the Rockets. Period!

Give me a break. Najera hasn't intentionally hurt anybody. Malone intentionally hurt everybody. Najera is just a hard nosed player trying to make a difference.

What are you talking about? Mobley played 36 minutes on a sprained ankle (and according to another thread plantar faciatis in the other foot). He is among the league leaders in minutes played. I can't possibly see where you get that he doesn't leave everything he has out on the floor.

I think Mobley always plays hard, he doesnt always make the best decisions but he always seems to hustle
