I don't know if the rest of ya'll read into this, but the Rockets organization must get a lot of props around the world. Yao gave us good props and so did Nachbar. I realize that this is natural for draftees, but I am judging each word as it pertains to before and after. To me, it sound quite genuine. Ming wants to learn from Rudy and play with Steve. Nachbar has only heard about the type of class organization that the Rockets have.
The Rockets, and therefore fans, have a good thing going.

Our Star Stevie Francis should treat Yao Ming with respect and kindness. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you! Anything less is unacceptable to a person of good character!

This is the most encouraging part of the draft to me...the attitude of the two guys we took....there seems to be an air of humility...an air of appreciation..a commitment to work hard...and very little sense of entitlement.

Seems our "veterans" could learn a little from that...

It was joke based on stereotypes we have in America. I don't care what people eat as long as its not humans. Americans eat possums (overgrown rats) and rocky mountain oysters (cow testicles) so we have no room to talk.

I was in taiwan on business and I told my business associate over there that I pretty much eat anything except rodents and domestic animals, so they pulled out some fried grasshoppers. I had to eat it to save face. Served me right for talking smack. Actually it wasn't half bad. I think anything taste good if you fry it in grease long enough.

Don't they have the Chocalate covered Ants too?
Some said it reminded them of a Chocalate Rice crispy treat

The Grasshoppers are like French fries . . i mean sort of
    a side dish thing

I heard on 610 this morning that somebody (not sure which team) wanted to take Nachbar ahead of us, but Nachbar's agent told them that he would not come here unless Houston drafted him...

It was Indy. Nachbar's agent told Indy that his player wanted to be in Houston, and if he was drafted by Indy, he would stay in Italy for the year.

Thats so great. He is so bullish on Houston. Maybe Cuttino took him to the Mens Club after his workout.

Oh, and I lived in China for several years (off and on) growing up in the 70s and 80s and I never had cat.

I ate bear claw, snake, and (one time in Chengdu) dog in China.

However I ate alligator, snake, bear, and rat (neutria) in Texas and Louisiana.

And in Spring Break in Mexi, I ate those tacos they sell on the street, so I may have eaten cat.

    Who are we to judge?

And dog wasn't all that bad, but dont tell my labrador I said that.
