glynch, I agree with you. His form looks good. He shoots well in practice but in game situations he struggles.
That box score against Poland is simply horrible. Combined box scores of the two games from the shorter 3-point line, 1/6. Sigh. Btw, I never noticed that the jersey numbers are sequential and start at #4 and not #1. Anyone know why that is? And don't tell me the refs get #1, #2 and #3!
Boki is da bomb! come on guys, relax on the guy, hes one of the best european slashers I've ever seen
I wonder if some of you understand the game of basketball and the roles that are expected and how it effects a players game. Boki will not be the first option on the Rockets and thus will be able to get his shot off uncontested or slashing to the hole. On the Slovenian team he is expected to lead them, much like Ginobli, and Boki is not good enough to do that. He is however a good complimentary player, he will do well with Yao, Tmac and Co. DD
No kidding. The way he slashes to the basket is impressive, as was the defense he played during the playoff series with the Fakers.
DaDakota,I took your point into consideration but I still think he lacks confidence in game situations. I hope he will prove me wrong and become a productive off the bench player for us.
I don't get it. I guess I don't have "Boh-kY-tus". He seems like another one of those Euro guys that play better overseas. I wouldn't mind being wrong on this.
DD, I absolutely agree that Boki is a complimentary player, but shooting was suppose to be his biggest asset. He gets many uncontested shots when he plays, but he hasn't shown he can't hit those shots. And lets face it, that is what JVG wants. I'm not talking bad about Boki, he is one of my favorite players, but this is a big year for him. If he doesn't show he can hit his jumpers consistently, then I don't think JVG and crew will let him stick around. Hopefully, TMac will teach Boki a couple things. I think all the kid needs is some confidence.
Well that can't be good. Either Boki is injured or he can't crack the Slovenian team lineup. Neither one of those things bodes well for his upcoming season.
Yeah thats Tariq Abdul Wahad for sure... maybe he wasn't on the stat sheet as Tariq but as his old more-french sounding moniker before changing his name -- Olivier St.Jean guy went to my University and stayed a couple years. Stuart
Nachbar's DNP is more than likely due to an injury. But that is not big deal because I assume it is not one that will keep him sidelined for a very long time. It is not a big deal.
