Behad, I know what you are saying. I've thought about that too when I did it. But it really doesn't matter. The good teams no doubt have better winning % against good teams and bad teams than the league average. And conversely with the bad teams, I am pretty sure they have a worse % than the average against even the bad teams. The whole point here is to assess where the Rockets is relative to the whole league by comparing the Rockets' % with the league average. The conclusion I made, as you can see, is that the Rockets are a mediocre team against losing teams and an above average team against winning teams. That shows that we are not an elite team. Yet, we are not bad either. If the Rockets can climb to 50% against the good teams, and at least match the odd against the bad, then I'll say they are getting close to the big boys.
