I don't give a **** about tmac but to say these other players with 10x the talent did it by themselves is lludicrous.
this goes back to the tmac fan doctrine that he never had any good teammates in his life Nevermind that I know you didn't watch this documentary or know anything about the Lakers and Celtics PRE-MAGIC and PRE-BIRD. then again, tracy mcgrady fans really don't get it why it's always other players instead of their favorite player. It's almost pointless arguing with tracy fans, but if someone decides to watch that documentary, the post was worth it.
- He was booed by Toronto because he left them in the dark while he was courted by free agency after leading them to believe he would re-sign. He basically pulled a LBJ/Boozer on them. He also threw the organization under the bus. - He was booed by Orlando after he got them no where and gave up on them. - He was booed by Houston after he got them no where and gave up on them. Yeah, I would say for the most part, he gets booed for the same reason.
Well let me explain to you People in Toronto boo'd him because they are butthurt that a potential elite franchise player left the team via free agency. Most fans in Toronto still think with Mac and Carter they could've been legit contenders in the east. People in Orlando boo'd him the same reason Lebron is boo'd in Cleveland and Shaq is hated in Orlando. Yeah it basically has nothing to do with Tmac failing to carry a team, or being a quitter, or not being an elite player as you claim
I also find this article pretty telling; apparently T-Mac has never changed. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1011735/index.htm This sounds very familiar: So he botched a shot and sussed out on D immediately on the other end.
they didn't. but these players were much better leaders and helped fire up their team to winning championships. you guys believe in this statement: Tmac never won cause of his teammates the converse is also true.
With a few motivation words tmac could've turned Cato into Kareem Abdul jabber or a weatherspoon into a mchale.
hahahaha you can put all the words in my mouth if you want. Tmac got booed in Houston. Again, I don't know why all those people booed him. I haven't met all of them. That other guy in this thread, Dream, he doesn't get booed.
thanks for not answering the question but we all know the staple excuse. TEAMMATES. 20 years from now, the history books with have an * next to Tmac's name. or at least some dude with a crayon drawing it. * teammates
Wtf? I've been telling you they had better teammates and now your doing reverse psychology. It's between bird and magic which is irrelevant to this argument.
bird and magic were winners in high school, college, and the pros. they made their teammates better. If it makes you sleep better that you believe that your favorite player "could have" done this or that. that's fine with me. if you want to know that it takes more than talent and skill to be legend, watch that documentary.
Tracy was not a leader, some players just aren't leaders. You cannot fault someone for not being a leader, however you can fault him for not trying to be more of a leader and playing harder on defense. Tracy felt the scoring was enough, he didn't want to do it all.
"Jumping from high school to the NBA is like a virgin sleeping with a 40-year-old woman with three kids," says Toronto forward Walt Williams. "You better raise your game a lot or you'll be humiliated." its the kinda analogy that came only come from personal experience.
