    according to Taiwanese, Lin is Taiwanese, because his parents are from Taiwan, but the problem is ... his grandparents are from China
    if you use the same logic his parents should be Chinese because their parents are from China, then Lin is Chinese
    so Lin is American born Chinese

    so in order to be an American born Chinese you have to speak fluent mandarin? What about Cantonese? What about being born in the US with a Chinese ethnic background? nah, that can't be it...:rolleyes:

    Reality: Lin is chinese the way Lebron James is African. He is a deeply religious, Harvard educated, American born Christian of Taiwanese descent. He doesn't speak a lick of Mandarin and his favorite food(from what i've heard) is buffalo wing. If he isn't American, nobody is.]

    Since this myth start.

    Chinese is........a language, Food at the Chinese just around the corner, is a way of life.
    China is a Country.
    Oriental is a race.

    Lin is an American, who goes to Church, eats, talks plays rocket's basketball and has a way of life, which is special only unto himself. As far as I observe it the only thing I am concerned about is can he win us a Championship?

    PS By the way only God knows for sure where we all came from?

    The whole "people of color" idea is perpetuated by people who are racist to the core.

    There is only one race - the human race. The suggestion that different races exist based on variances in our skin pigmentation is entirely absurd.
