LiveJournal is predominantly for blogs. MySpace is more like Friendster or Xanga in that it is somewhat of a cross between a blog site, picture posting site and meeting place.
jeff, i see you added toast to your space, but I have the feeling you found a band called toast in minnesota...
Yeah, I'm on there. I do it mostly for band stuff, though. BUT ... I have my own little humble page as well ... Toast on myspace http://myspace.com/blendt Our good buddy, Jeremy over there, did a nice job of sprucing up the blendt page, so mad props to you!
chance, even though i'm a fan of beltran, your version of "beltran idiot" is freakin awesome... keep up the good work.
thats weird. I am adding everyone in this thread today, the user name is J Remy... edit: yea, alot of glitches on the server, you cant add anyone right now
heh, i have been on there for more than a year now. I am like addicted to that site. Hence, I even, dare I say, met my gf on there. I posted in that blog thread that I do have a Rockets group on there, so feel free to add yourself. Managed to get Jeff, Chance, Stack, Moe, and a few others on there. My MySpace Profile My Rockets Group
meh happens once in awhile. I think its been growing alot since I joined. The reason I joined because most of my co-workers are on there (hence half of my friends list). But its still great. I blog on there, and even kept up with people from high school. Its also great how movie studios and musicians are using it as advertising. I remember when Anchorman came out last year, they made individual profiles for each character, it was quite funny actually. Plus, they were the site where I found out that Oasis and Jimmy Eat World were having new albums coming out.
Looks cool. I have an account with snowboard.com, where I keep in touch (or try to) with old friends from highschool. Anyone have an sms.ac account?
Same as Jeff, and all you music guys, para musica. http://www.myspace.com/mobleymusic Just set it up Saturday though, how long is it sposed to take for the songs to go through the screening process or whatever?
I used to visit www.xanga.com many times, before I discovered that I was too old (mostly teens in there) sharing their thoughts. MySpace.Com sucks ass if they ask you to put these things in there: ----------------------- A_friend_of_Mine's Details Status: Married Here for: Friends, Networking Orientation: Straight Body Type: Ethnicity: Latino / Hispanic Sign: Smoke / Drink: Children: Education: -------------- I know I know... you're NOT forced to answer these, but why do they add these anyway? TWO YEARS AGO, I THOUGHT CLUTCH BBS was run by a bunch of black dudes. Now, I am confused... what is BLACK, anyway? Just a color, baby...
Keep in mind that MySpace started as a networking/dating site. So, it makes sense that they ask that stuff. Hell, I've gotten dates off of there, so it clearly works even for a gigantic loser such as myself!
