My XBox 360 just died...AGAIN !

    yeah but what they're going to do is send you a refurbished one and it's gonna act up again. If you have problems with the hardware, they just glue that back on and the heat eventually melts it off the it dies again

    my wife got me a 360 for this past father's day. I played for like 2 hrs that sunday evening.

    Got home from work on Monday night, and got RROD'ed.

    That has to be some kind of record

    Xbox died today - E74 single red light of death error. MS charges $100 for this one...not covered under the RROD warranty even though it's pretty much the same problem.

    Just call in and tell them you have the 3 RROD.........I think most of the time they just send you a refurb anyway, probably never even plug it in.

    From reading online that worked for a while but now they just send it back to you if they see it's an E74 since it's such a common problem.

    Ok, Xbox number 2 just went down for the first time.......my 5 year old calls me upstairs and says....Daddy, I have a red light on the X Box......I say...how many? ....he says....Three.....I call it in...and am sending it off for the free repair.

    Oh well...that makes it 4 times for the one in my office and once for the one in the game room......

    I'm still trying to get mine to RROD....still only getting the 1 red light...overheating it makes it work for a while and then back to the 1 red light.

    Well, that's not as bad as the guy who went through 11 systems in about a year and a half. That guy had really bad luck.

    mine is about 3 years old and still going strong. suffers from the occasional freeze up when first playing a game but that's it.
