There are journalistic accounts that examine JR Smith as having identity issues from growing up in the suburbs in a upper middle class family. He entered the league sheltered and literally acts up to prove his own self-worth among his peers. He's calmed down a bit and mellowed out into a wiser humble dude as he gotten older. You can actually Google and find articles of JR Smith's backstory but that's one recollection of him from past articles.

Seek professional help. If you're reading into numbers this much you're actually insane. Also, 2011 backwards is 1102, not 112.

How old, dumb and racist are you? And very odd for you to include Harden when he has one of the worst/least wholesome images in the league. And Giannis is barely marketable. Nobody outside of real NBA fans know his name yet. But here, enjoy some photos of some of the biggest stars in the league.

Wow, they were right. That's exactly how I saw JR Smith growing up with the New Orleans hornets. He wanted to be cool to fit in, he was a well raised kid.

Just so we all know I am definitely on the side of no sleeves, neck or face tattoos. You have to be able to put a T-shirt on and get a freaking job

times change… for some reason The one sleeve thing doesn’t bother me

it’s not my preference but I agree I think there’s certain professions (and employers) who require no visible tattoos

The only thing that concerns me with Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Junior is they both have the a type personalities. I don’t give a damn about their tattoos!

Personally I've been with a lot of strippers and escorts who had hideous tatoos.

It was always a turnoff to me when women have tattoos. It seems as if they can never get naked for you when they are tatted up.

I have no tattoos but I don't mind them on women at all.

From an acceptance perspective, I don't see visible tats in the NBA is much of an issue anymore. Plus it's more accepted in a sports league than say a desk corporate job. The popularity of tattoos is so common not just domestically, but loosened up internationally as well. The days of Dennis Rodman or Allen Iverson implying thuggory are mostly gone. You can bet among the media gallery; the beat writers, a good chunk of those people have tats under their dress shirts.

From an aesthetic perspective and someone who used to draw, most tattoo pieces don't look that good. Common nowadays for people to get these school desk doodles. The kind that drunk girls get. If there are good pieces, it's usually buried in a sea of other bad tattoos. People don't always plan out their body (canvas) well; and few understand negative spacing. Fans can point certain to good looking celebs/atheltes, who are attractive with tattoos, but often those people would have been attractive without it.

From an inward perspective: to a person who gets them, tattoos are often tied to that person's identity. It's more about the meaning; self expression than looking good to other people.

For example, imo Luka's forearm tattoo looks terrible, even if I think is ugly, I'm not offended by it. To Luka it probably means something or he thinks is trendy since lot of kids his age has some.

I personally think Religion and Therapy are needed more for a Person that has real life issues.

Tattoos I believe is a sign for needing help or seeking attention, maybe not having a Father or Mother to give a Child Validation.

To each his own. It’s just an eyesore for me.

I couldn’t even watch team tatooo nuggets back in the day.

Bird man, Martin, melo, smith were hard to watch. I’m cooler with obnoxious tattoos In NFL where the body is more covered.
