Awesome. Congrats! Having a kid with someone I love is pretty much my life's goal at this point. You're a lucky man!
Just don't let your baby grow up to be a Cowboys fan... Or take after the guy who made a song similar to that famous. Congrats. I believe the children are our future. My first born is a month away from 7! Time flies, take vids and pics... and just be there for 'em. Kids spell "love" like this-----> T I M E
Everyone, thanks for the congratulations. It's going to be a lot of work, I know, but I'm looking forward to all of it. IROC It, Don't worry, I'm looking into having a microchip installed in my baby's brain that will prevent any Cowboy fandom from ever developing. I'll call this chip "Intelligence." SCF, It sort of happened without my realizing it, but it does happen. It's really not so bad as it sounds. Swoly, If you ever try to have sex with me, I'm going to chop off your burrito.
Congrats RL!!! Are you and the wife going to want to know the sex or have it be a surprise? I'm still on the fence about knowing beforehand..
Congrats! I'm sure the doctors told you or you read that it is not unusual for it to take 6 to 12 months to get the wifey knocked up. We have 2 kiddos: the first took one try (I think) and the 2nd took 9 to 10 months. The range of norm is extremely broad. best wishes on a healthy family.
Oh, we are both going to want to know as soon as possible. Me just because I want to know, and her because she wants to know and because we have an entire baby room that she wants to get started decorating as soon as we know the gender.
Congratulations! Time to ask Santa for these. On sale now for only $19.99! On sale now for only $14.99! Hurry, supplies are limited.
Yes and no. I made the images we wanted in photoshop and then we used a projector and painted the images on the wall. We did one a weekend over the past four weeks.
Great. I had the same idea but never got around to it and was wondering how that would work. Now I have to borrow a projector.
So you projected the images on the wall and traced them with the paintbrush/pencil? Wouldn't your hand and brush block the imagine, though?
It does a little, but you get used to working around it. The first picture has how we started, we just used white glossy paint and painted in everything inside the line of the image. The second picture is the cat after we finished that stage. Next coat was colors and then we finished with the detail work. The boy and the cat took much longer to do because they had so much more detail. About halfway through the detail work you'll wonder if you scewed it up royally, but the end result is worth it. We used an old opaque projector, but an overhead or computer one should do the trick. Congrats again!
