Looking for one myself right now. BestBuy's website has a 37" Insignia 720p for 399 right now. This model got pretty good reviews in Consumer Reports, and I'm a little tempted. I wanted to go 1080p at first, but a lot of people say it doesn't matter on a screen that size, especially if you're a good distance from the television.
