I think picking up multiple 2nd rounders or a late 1st early 2nd pick would be better than picking 14 since we don't have a 2nd round pick. Here are my scenarios: -We give #14 to NY for 2nd round picks #38 & #39 or -We give #14 to Miami for 2nd round picks #41 & #42 (maybe even #48 too if DM works his Jedi mind tricks) or -We give #14 to Washington for #30 1st round and #34 second round
If you are actually gonna be one of the guys to make a thread like this at the very least don't make such boring suggestions.
This draft is too deep with good talent were we are now. No way we trade down. You can buy 2nd round picks. You cant buy a 14th pick.

If you want to trade down, OKC is your team. They own picks 21, 26, and 32. Minnesota also owns picks 16 and 23.
In any of these scenarios we would at least have to get a player back for it not to be completely stupid. Wilson Chandler or Bill Walker plus two second rounders for the 14th pick or Daquean Cook and 2 second rounders for the 14th. Even adding the player it would be a dumb move.
Do we even have enough roster space for two more players assuming no one else moves? If we can't fit one of the 2nd rounders on the roster then we basically just traded a first rounder for a second rounder.
I think the Morey Magic has brainwashed this poor innocent soul into believing that 2nd rounders are much better than a lottery pick. It is sad indeed.
This is such a dumb thread, why would you trade down? We needed talented players the higher chance is in the Lottery!
I like both of those picks. Everyone keeps saying their are really good players to get at #14 and their might be. However, I do not have complete trust in Whiteside, Orton & Patterson are a bit undersized, and Motiejunas is a trap waiting to happen. Henry does not seem to have the you cannot stop me from scoring mentality. Trading down, we may get Solomon Alabi who I feel has a better work ethic and mentality with very similar potential and metrics. Also, we have a pick to take a chance on Willie Warren or Lance Stephenson (or if you want to play it safe James Anderson). Yes, both are wild cards, a bit immature, but both have skills and size that had both looking at Top 10 picks before this past year.
