Lowry can start on many teams. He can even start on Rockets if Rockets have enough firepower in starting lineup. AB is more fit to play a Jason Terry role in that case.

Lowry is already a game changer in many games. Given minutes, he'll be the only person on this team who might get triple doubles. He was close in a couple games with limited minutes this season.

Lowry needs to cut down his stupid shooting fouls and take less gamble on defense though.

kyle lowry is probably the best rebounding PG i've ever seen.

unfrotunately teams dont need their PGs to rebound. lowry's offensive game isn't as polished as Brooks and thats the one thing holding him back from being a starter in the NBA.

I'm still lol'n at the posters that whined and cried as soon as the trade went down.

How dare you question the Mighty Morey!

I loved the fact that AB would get a chance to start and look what turned out because of that move in the playoffs, he blew up. And now we have good young cheap PG's that could either be re-signed or traded for valuable players.

No homo, I heart you Daryl Morey.

Kyle Lowry is a force multiplier. Put him in the game, and other 4 guys instantly become more effective.

And yet, 75% of this board hated the Lowry/Alston deal when it first happened and acted like the world was ending.

That fact will amuse me forever.

Until his outside shot becomes worthy of being guarded he will never be an elite point guard. Right now he is a poor man's Rondo.

I agreed with what some posters said, if we have enough scorer in the starting line up, Lowry should start and Brooks come off the bench if we haven't trade him...

Lowry has quickly become my favourite player on the squad. Love his energy and tenacity on both ends of the court. As one of those that was calling for Lowry to start over Brooks last season, I have to admit that Brooks thoroughly deserves to start over Lowry this season. But if the rest of the roster around the 2 of them was constructed differently (ie. more scorers at other positions), Lowry would still have a chance of ousting Brooks for the starting job imo.

During the off-season there was some discussion on whether Lowry, entering his 4th season would be able to improve on his shooting. His FG% is down because he is scoring at a lower % around the basket this season where he takes a lot of his shots. But his 3p% is up slightly (overall his TS% this season is still around his career average). Hopefully he can continue to incrementally improve his shooting.

Good read, you summed up nicely everything I love about Lowry. The guy is a defensive beast even though he's 6'0 and makes his teammates better.

Lowry absolutely must improve his 3 point shooting.

good read but a very bad performance by lowry tonight

thats why i think a pg should always be able to shoot the ball from long range

Just a note - Kyle Lowry is a legit 6 footer.

    Hes 6'1 with shoes.

The only thing I don't like about Lowry is when he flops. It doesn't fit his bulldog personality.

If Lowry improves his all around shooting, he would be mentioned as one of the best PGs to play the game today.

His PG skills are already vastly superior to most of the 1s today.

EDIT: One of the best point guards, such as Nash/Williams/Paul/Rondo. Not in the same breath as Stockton, etc.
