You are confusing PER with +/-. The average PER is by definition 15. That means that Fisher is well below average. Fisher has a net negative PER (his PER is lower than his opponent's) when playing at either guard position because he is a poor defender.
Fisher could be interesting.... ...if he had a one-year minimum contract. His ridiculous contract makes it silly to even think about getting him.
yes yes yes.... he's better than sura and james combined. he's got a better experience than james... better attitude..
Exactly! The last thing we need is to take on that salary for a PG role player who's age will greatly diminish his skills as the years go on. I would rather pay a Big that kind of money for those years than a Small if I had to at all. The Rockets did a good job moving Mo's contract and put themselves in a position to not have any bad long term contracts. Why compound the problem now with Fisher??
Derek Fisher may be the most overpaid player in the league. That contract is just horrible. He's a pretty good 3-pt shooter if left open but that's about it. He wears a headband so it looks like he hustles a lot and he made Mike Bibby look like a superstar. Those 3 titles mean almost nothing. Put Bobby Sura or David Wesley on those teams and they still win. Speedy Claxton was starting over him. Get him and you regret it for a long time.
I think DFish would have been good for this team.. if we signed him as a FA and for alot less money. I do agree most of the posters here cant seem to debate or engage in discussion without being rude. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I think DFish would be a nice pick up if we could redo his contract. Right now he is just way overpaid but if he was cut (Amnesty) might be a great pickup.. (which I doubt since his contract is so long) J
this is a yof attitude: you think derek fisher is better than sura and james combined because you think they don't pass to Yao enough. or you think mike james has a bad attitude because you think mj takes shots away from Yao.
