Only an upgrade if you can get a great player for lin.. thats not questionable.. But to get that type of player, you have to trade Lin & Asik in a package.

D12 baby mama... your babies are too young to even compete with Lins spot.. just STFU k?

Do you honestly believe he will get traded to a non-MAJOR-MARKET team? He makes teams so much $$$. A small market team will overpay LIN more than he's getting paid now..JUST BECAUSE HE GENERATES $$$..

I dont think that most NBA FANS understand that simple fact... Hire mudda-ffers that make your company MAJOR BUCKS.. BEV will NEVER EVER DO THAT...is that so hard to understand , south west dumb teams?

It's certainly a possibility. Morey likes to keep his options open. He is looking for teams' best offers given the specific time frame. You would be naive not to think a few teams are not throwing Lin's name in there as a package deal.

If something really good comes along then he's gone and if ****ty deals are offered, he stays. But I'm sure most ppl know this.

Let's use a current example. Kobe has been great.

Lakers should not have resigned him period.
    Did they do it? Yep

Was it the wise championship choice? Nope

Was it because they generate so much !money from him? Yep

So Lin will be dropped because he's a cash cow? Nope

Bev will be dropped or traded with Asik or Jones? Abso f'n lutely

Yeah they did it as a favor for Battier to put him on a contending team after all his years of service. You don't force vets through long painful rebuilds when they want to contend.

This is the NBA anything can happen my friend besides the viable trades that are being mentioned. Unfortunatley I am not Nostradamus although I'm sure I can be.

NBA is a business. As a business, it needs to generate $$.. Players don't get traded for their good service time. To outsiders it may appear that way, but let's be honest.... You will do every and everything to attempt to make $$$ as a general manager.. And if your cash cow is a specific player, you would not trade it for a BEV like player. Those are the real business world facts..…….

Interesting. So why did the Knicks opt not to match our offer? He would've made a them back his contract and then some in extra revenue according to your cash cow theory.

It's because a better chance of getting a championship outweighs your cash cow theory. The Knicks probably felt they had an equal or better chance with their new players instead of Lin. The same thing can be true for us. If the right player or players come along, ANYTHING is possible. I'm not saying it's very likely given the way Lin has been playing lately, but it can happen.

 Lin's already a pretty good player, whether he comes off the bench or starts he's been scoring at a mind-numbing 0.65% TS for the season.

I think he's a great part of the squad because he wavers between average and amazing per game, so opponents don't know whether to focus their defense on him or ignore him. Him, Asik and Parsons are the shock troops off our team and catch teams by surprise game after game, and I'd rather have all 3 of them unless it's someone like LBJ or Durant.

NYC paper stated that Dolan was angered by Lin accepting the second offer from the Rockets and would not match the offer.

no one in the random trade thread are nostradamus, but they all gave real examples that we can really take about... no some random "if there is something good that comes he will be traded" really?
