Chase needs to do of more of what he did last night, like that pull, fadeaway, back shot going to his right.

Actually I think Budinger's ability to elevate and move laterally in the air could make for some unique dunks along the baseline.

I have a feeling Chase Budinger is going to have a career like Chase Budinger.

on a side-note, can someone tell me who was the last 2nd-round draftee to become a star??? i don't mean a kinda-star. i mean an indisputable star.

because, i just don't see Chase becoming one, like Dirk.

No. I didn't forget that. Ever since he was in high school they've talked about his ability to leap. It's why he's such an effective volley ball player as well. He has the full set of tools Brent Barry had. Incidentally, no disrespect meant to Barry, but everybody knows that was one of the worst dunk contests ever.

Not really. Not to a certain extent atleast. Who knows though, it is Carl Herrara.

But ATHLETICALLY, like I said in a previous post on here, they are both very similar.

Chase has a lot of potential. I think he needs to develop more of a mid-range game - seems like he is great cutting or driving to the basket...and he has a 3 point shot...but looks like he struggles off the dribble or when he is trying to shoot over defenders 8-10 feet away. Needs maybe a floater, a hook, or something.

u OBVIOUSLY dont know who Carol Dawson is.. do u?
i thought so, if someone were to work with him on his post moves it would be CD, unless the great Hakeem comes down this summer ala kobe style but Im guessing that he wouldnt come down for Chase

I still think Mike Miller is the best comparison.

well i think he idolized bird, right? that's why i think he's not going to be more mobile than that...if he grew up modeling his game like Bird, he's pretty much the same mold now...he needs to improve his passing and i'm sure he wants to, prob grew up imitating bird's passing.

He struggled shootin g tonight but the way he moved the ball was a thing of beauty.....

He was still very effective out there even while missing badly on his outside shots.
