Long-term (after current Lin and Bev contracts), would you guys be ok with Bev-Lin-Harden as the guard rotation? Assuming that Lin's next contract is lower - their overall salaries might be in line with their current ones.
Bev should be the starter since he has trouble running the offense, so having Harden with him will help. Lin should come off bench where the ball will be in hands the most, thus allowing him to attack the basket at will and facilitate.
dude it's been like this since last year! like you said, you can't tell how good their defense is by box score (# of steals could be misleading) but people expect lin to be a better offensive player because of linsanity and people only expect bev to hit his 3's here and there but if not, no big deal. i mean, he had his "breakout" during the playoffs last year averaging 10 and 4 or something like that? apply that to lin and he's a failure. it's just difference in expectations and what their roles should be and it's because of 1) lin's contract and 2) what he did during linsanity. those who thought linsanity was a fluke would still roast him for not playing up to the level. go figure. it's like morey and mchale said - if linsanity didn't happen and lin had the year that he had last year, people would be proclaiming lin as one of the better up-and-coming pg's in the league, averaging 13 and 6 for 82 games at age 24.
Lin missed a game or two I think. I think both guys are going to end up playing around the same minutes in the regular season.
Bev is a better fit for this team. I hope Lin an Asik get traded to the Lakers. Everyone benefits from this.
Lin and Asik suffer because they have to deal with Kobe and Kobe fans. The rest of the world suffers because LA receives two good players. I see this as a major catastrophe.
This is irrelevant... we pretty much know he is going to start so what was the point of the thread? Its like saying the Cardinals are going to win game 2 when the game just ended.
xzibit I believe this is your last thread to start LOL exactly, we pretty much knew what he believes And Bev will be the starter next game
How about Lin for Steve Black and Jordan Hill Blake is one of the best off the ball PGs in the league and great at shooting corner 3s Jordan Hill could be the PF we are missing to contend Works from a cap standpoint too
I think Lin gets traded before deadline. $20mil cash (and $8.3 cap space) on the bench is too much to keep around for 2 years.
