My Nice, France trip plan got screwed up this morning

I like Brussels, never been to Nice.

 

My advice would be to cancel the trip and instead go somewhere besides Nice next year. I stayed there for 4 days and didn't really like it that much...plus, as noted, the beach is all rocks, the women were not good looking and the town was kind of "meh"

However, I did get to see James Brown headline a festival there...

 

Can't you take a TGV bullet train to Paris from Brussels? It shouldn't be overnight, but a relatively short day trip at up to 200mph. Look into it. And if you need something special to do in Belgium, not too far from Brussels (nothing in Belgium is really far), then consider a jaunt to Bruges. And see the film In Bruges, if you want an idea of just how beautiful it is. Just a thought. Good luck!

It looks like you were already planning on taking two trips; where you're just replacing Brussels with Nice. If money, stress, time and stamina are no object, double down so your kids can see two neat cities.
