I agree. Plus, people will see the cost benefit when gas prices rise to 4 bucks a gallon. It's inevitable. There's only a limited amount of gas.
By that time hybrids will be more commonplace and their costs may be worth it. And like I've always said, if you're still b****ing about $2+ per gallon gas, just reflect on how much money you spend on unnecessary crap that you don't ever b**** about. For the people that b**** about $2+ per gallon gas, how much do you spend at Starbucks per gallon, how much do you spend on alcohol and cigarettes? Gas is a necessity at this point, so I'm not b****ing about the prices much, especially since current gas prices aren't as bad as the early 80's when adjusted for inflation.
I'm making so many new friends. Just checked out your site. When I get back to Texas, I'll have to roadtrip down for an event.
Absolutely. And for those who haven't taken a good look at one up close, pictures don't do it justice. I felt the same way when we bought it, but I really have been surprised by it. It's been a great car. And, to my chagrin, it's looks have grown on me although the aftermarket is getting out of control.
My saleman said pricing for the '06's hasn't been released yet and all the research I've done hasn't turned up anything. He says that since there will be no changes to the GT he's expecting no more than the quarterly increase which has been running under $500. So, we agreed on $200 under MSRP plus a quarterly increase of no more than $450. I've found better deals, but they're all out of state. Most dealers are asking between 2 and 3 thousand over. Haven't even considered the 350Z or RX8 (or any other vehicle) as it's all about the Mustang with me. I'll still be commuting (90 miles roundtrip) in the Honda, the GT's gonna be the weekend and roadtripping car.
I like it - I would consider buying it if I ever saw one in my price range. Hopefully it will have an interior designed like the Honda Element, which is almost cool enough to overcome my complete and utter disgust at the way it looks on the outside.
