Real easy to pick until you lose 5 in a row...which will eventually happen. Gambling places don't make money by losing all the time. I'd put whatever I'd made over what I started with to the side, that's what I do in Vegas. If I start with $50, then get up to $150, I'd put $100 on the side and keep it, and just gamble with the origninal $50...if you lose that, then quit.
SuperMac, That is what I am doing. I started with $500, got it up to $1000, then took out $800, now am back up to $600. So, I have already cashed in $300, and am now playing with house money. DD
Two things: 1. Can we stop talking about gambling??? The earliest I'll be able to hit the tables on Saturday will be around 1:00. I'm itching soooooo bad. 2. DaDakota, can you please make your sig smaller?
RM95, As for gambling...I am rooting for you this weekend. Are you going to bet on UT? My sig smaller.....maybe....we shall see. DD
Nah, I don't much like sports betting. I'd probably put something down if you could do it in Louisiana, but since you can't, I probably won't. I'll be sitting my ass at that blackjack table, though! Thanks for the consideration, BTW.
RM95, What do you mean you can't bet on sports in LA? There is a Harrah's right down close to the French Quarter, don't they allow sports betting? DD
sports betting is ONLY allowed in Nevada and offshore, I believe...That's why pro sports teams stay away from Vegas, which is a whole new subject altogether...
DaDakota, nope. We went to Lake Chuck December 30th, and got excited on the way there because the Harrah's kept advertising their new sports room!! We were going to bet on the MNF game or some bowl games, but when we got there, it was just a room with televisions, tables and slot machines and the dealers where wearing jerseys...that's it.
The only casinos that I know of that have sports books are the ones in Nevada. I'm not sure the ones in Atlantic City have sports books. The casinos in Louisiana definitely DO NOT have sports books.
Did you read my clarification in the Final Four thread? If I had anything that good to smoke, I'd definitely share.
Dang that sucks, I rarely gamble outside of Vegas, but had the itch on Super Bowl Sunday so I put a good sum on the over and hit the bet. Now, I have been playing with the winnings ever since. It is free money, something just feels so right about free money. DD
You're a good man. Have I told you that recently? PS: When is the next time you will be in Houston? I share as well!
Smeggy tour, 4/11-4/12. You down for a baseball game the 11th? The hated Cards. ugh. E-mail me through the board if you are.
Update: The last 2 days have been rocky, but I have still been winning, although more slowly. The nest egg is now at $800. DD
