Ok, so I did this on the heels of a Texan win so HillBoy can't tell me I'm talking bad about little Davie just to feel better about a Texan loss. DC is 3rd string in Carolina...behind an undrafted rookie and Methuselah. How much longer is the guy in the league? Do the Panthers bring him back next season? Does he pick up somewhere else?? Does he move on?
I'm sure the panthers are done with him. There will be some sucker team that will pick him up as a backup. Maybe he could backup Vince?
I was always one of those guys that wanted to see David Carr succeed, whether it was here in Houston or somewhere else. Carr has been given chances to show that he is a starter in this league and has failed miserably. IMO Carr will be bounce around the league because he has a rocket arm and there are coaches out there who believe that he got a bum deal in Houston and was injured in Carolina and take a flyer on him.
david can't be cured. I say he will retire and join joel osteen's mission. It's a sad thing, our previous regime broke and crushed him mentally
why does David Carr sucking make you feel better about the Texans' season? mario williams doesn't even have 25 sacks yet and our offense doesn't score 35 points a game. the fact that you brought it up means you're still stuck on David Carr, blah, blah, blah.
There's a pretty big shortage of qb's around the league right now. The Texans are one of the few that have the luxury of a good backup. Carr will remain in the league somewhere. Don't know where or how, but he'll still be around. If Tim Couch and George Blanda...I mean Vinny Testaverde... still get a shot every now and then, Carr will, too.
People say this but I don't get it at all. He has never been able to read a defense and he still can't. He has never been able to know when to check down, and he still doesn't. He has never known when to get rid of the ball and he still doesn't. These are not things that can be blamed on coaches. This isn't a case of Jim Everett style shell shock/happy feet where he clearly has been sacked too often and feels rushers coming that aren't there. He still stands in the pocket like a tackling dummy waiting to get sacked while fixated on one receiver. He still doesn't know when it is better to throw the ball away than run out of bounds for a 10 yard loss.
I think his hair is great! For the ladies. Of course it is. I wouldn't make a post about David Carr's prettyness for myself.
Why no use of the gloves in Houston? Was he holding out on us, or was our bad coaching not allowing him to use them?
