I'm making the same move later this year (to the DC area, not Montgomery County). It's surreal knowing that my time in Texas is coming to a close, but I'm excited for the change. I know DC gets muggy and hot in the summer, but I can't do 100+ degrees for months-on-end anymore. I'm also excited to be on the east coast and have easy access to Philadelphia, New York, Boston, etc. I've spent half of my life in Austin and half in Houston. Texas will always be home, but it's time for a new chapter.
I'm looking forward to the cheap Nationals tickets and the easy drive to Baltimore for Astros road games.
I arrived as I95 was falling apart in Philly. Traffic is nicer. It's 73 right now. Life is good. I don't think I'll ever be a real Wizards fan but I'll hop the bandwagon if they are ever good. That's a big IF though.
I used to stay in St. Julian's quite often. Had a business partner in Msida. Liked Rebekah's restaurant in Mellieha. Never made it to Comino, but did stay in Gozo.
