Good to hear your kid is OK. Lumps on the head and toddlers are pretty common and I think other than concussion or fracture should be no big deal.

Best wishes to your son.. hope he is OK.. It's a good thing he was taken to the hospital. Make sure he gets checked thoroughly.. Shots to the head can be potentially life-threatening.

Read the last few posts from page 1.

Good news that he is okay. Must have been like hell for the first few minutes.

at least now when he grows up and does stupid things, you'll have something other than genetics to blame it on. :D

Good to know he is better and definitely keep an eye on his condition for a while. I would hate to hear about a Natasha Richardson-like occurrence again. :(

I used to lean back in my chair at the dinner table and got a couple of those huge tennis-ball-sized knots on my head before. I always heard that big knots are a good thing - if you hit your head really hard and there isn't a bump, there is probably internal bleeding.

Glad to hear he is ok!

Did you call your son a fool and a monkey in the same sentence?

    Excellent! :)

My kids had accidents when they were little. It happens because it's almost impossible to keep them from doing something unless you put them in a straight jacket. Child Protective Services doesn't like that idea too much. ;)

What kind of work up did they give your kid? Just a few hours of observation, or was he given a CT scan?
