Most of which was done with Trump as president and it being reported that he was pressuring the DOJ to go hard. Why on earth would Trump and Bill Barr protect Joe Biden?? Makes no sense. Again this plea deal is made directly with a Trump appointee. NOT Joe Biden or even Merrick Garland.

Not really. Its routine justice served. It shows our justice system is capable of catching tax crimes in order to ensure the elites cannot skim money out of OUR pockets as tax payers who actually pay our taxes. Hunter is going to pay his taxes and have a criminal record because of it. This is good news but routine. Not the global QAnon conspiracy theory you think it is. Dissecting the nuttiness and obsession about penis pics from right wingers is the only thing baffling about it.
Props, I suppose, to the Biden conspiracists because there is no way Biden would have been charged with anything at all had they not put such massive pressure on charging him with something. Guys like him, well-to-do corporate elites with political connections, do not normally get charged with any crimes for something as prosaic as failing to pay their taxes. They should be, but that doesn't really happen in this world. But conservatives really wanted something and liberals were inclined to let him be a sacrificial lamb, so the legal insulation elites usually enjoy got stripped away this time. Conservatives will of course think it was a sweetheart deal, and maybe it was. But it's also possible and more likely that the prosecutor didn't have much and taking a plea deal was going to be much less embarrassing for him than to lose in court. But the House and the IG can always investigate the investigation. If there's anything to show, I'm sure they'll want to show it.
If he did the crime, then he should do the time. I don't care if you are a shoe salesmen in Akron or you are the President's son or even a former President. The USA needs to step up their enforcement of corrupt officials - the trust in the higher levels of government is lower than it ever has been after the mockery of the Trump Administration and now the son of the President. I don't really care beyond the fact that I am proud that someone did not get to walk because of their last name. As far as I can tell, this doesn't really connect anything to Joe Biden. I will say though, that it does make me raise an eyebrow when someone so close to the President has criminal issues.
