That's what I said. The case against Trump and Donald Trump being a convicted felon doesn't help Biden. But I see where the confusion lies with how I worded it.
From what I understand, crack is pretty cheap but a hit every 20 minutes adds up. No wonder those paintings were expensive to Biden's donors.
I have no interest in Hunter getting a pardon, but I can see an argument that it is a national security risk to have a close relative of the president in a vulnerable position like that.
related Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former intel officials say More than 50 former intelligence officials signed a letter casting doubt on the provenance of a New York Post story on the former vice president’s son. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/19/hunter-biden-story-russian-disinfo-430276
Thanks for bringing it up. The letter says the emails might be genuine but that it nevertheless has the earmarks of a Russian information campaign. It notes that one strategy they will sometimes employ is a data dump of accurate information because they know that a selective slice of truth can also help them achieve their ends. At this point, I have no idea if Russians were involved. Trump's campaign might have just gotten lucky in finding that laptop. Suffice to say it was a dirty trick, which in any case is common in presidential politics. But, that letter you think is so damning is not really damning. I'd like to hear if any of it's signatories now don't believe what they'd signed. Because as far as I know, they could still be right.
It wasn't a dirty trick. The guy who had the laptop gave it to the FBI and they chose to ignore it. It was only months later that he gave it to someone connected to Giuliani, after the FBI sat on it and did nothing. There was no "information campaign" or "disinformation campaign", the government tried to bury it. Now it has been confirmed that the laptop is real, as are the files contained therein. All of the media talking points about the laptop being a Russian information/disinformation campaign were bullshit. Hunter Biden's own business partner verified that the emails from the laptop are valid copies of emails sent by Hunter Biden (including emails indicating Hunter Biden received payments that were actually to President Biden).
So you left out the transition. And also the first move. A guy has a laptop from Hunter and his idea is to call the FBI. They aren't really interested in it so after a while is next option and idea is to get it to Rudy Giuliani? Really? They wanted to do the upright thing, but when the authorities didn't take it seriously, the next option is to get it to Rudy's people?
Also under oath some of Hunter Biden’s business partners countered the story that Joe Biden was involved in Hunter Biden’s business. but they got him now!
The first move? I guess I could have said Hunter dropped off his laptop to a repair shop, but everyone already knows that. The rest of your post was just a restatement of my post. Gave it to the FBI, check. They sat on it (aren't really interested), check. He gave it to someone connected to Rudy, check. Still not seeing the Russia angle or the dirty trick.
Yes. It's just that you glossed over the fact when the FBI didn't take action, the next step was to get it to Rudy's people. That is a strange-as-hell thing to do for a second step. So if people want to raise questions and cast doubt, that would be reasonable.
At best, this is misleading. According to Isaac, the owner of the computer repair shop, he notified the FBI about the laptop in April 2019. The FBI seized it in December 2019 under a subpoena from a grand jury investigating potential tax-related issues and foreign business dealings. This action was part of an FBI-led criminal investigation. In essence, the FBI was actively pursuing a criminal inquiry, far from 'doing nothing'.
