Channel 2 reports Grady could be done for the year. The Chronicle says no new news. My guess is he's been traded and is sitting out tonight till the deal becomes official and that the MRI was required by the acquiring team.
He's being held out of tonight's game as a precautionary measure. Besides, your theory isn't very likely in the first place. Up until a few minutes ago everybody was under the impression he was possibly done for the year and there was serious damage to his knee. MEANING: whatever trade talks that were ongoing were based upon that information thus making any deal for him extremely unlikely. Who is going to trade for guy facing possible microfracture surgery?
mcgrady trade possible The MRI may have been so the people up top will have leverage to make a deal. No one wants a player who is injured, so this was a security measure. I believe this is possible because it was out of the blue after he was cleared to play and he hasn't been complaining about his knee pain like he normally does. This was probably for a business reason if not a health reason.
A team that's looking to unload an even worse contract. Maybe the other team didn't want the results to be public, because that would make them look like they're giving up something for nothing. But I can't see the Rockets actually taking on bad contracts. It's not Morey's MO.
and tracy hasn't complained about his knee so i'm sure it wasn't him who wanted the MRI. he could be gone. we'll see.
Is this really a legitimate option? Ron seemed convinced he would be a Rocket next year...but maybe he was just saying the right things for people to hear... Chilcutt
So Clutch, what should I believe right now, I'm so confused. Is he not injured or does he still need microscropic knee surgery?
