Hey guys i apologize i havent had a chance to get back on here and update the whole interview experience. my bro let me know that the thread was being bumped and people were actually showing interest in how things went for me, so here i am to explain. the interview actually went GREAT. I went in there expecting to face a panel that was ready to eat me up, and they were, for the first couple of mins that is. however, apparently they sensed that their "tough act" wasnt rattling or affecting me in any way as i continued to smile and answer confidently, so they eventually began being very nice and actually complimentary at certain points. after a few mins i would actually describe the interview as more of a give and take conversation with alot of smiles and nods of agreement. at the end of the interview (and this is something i prepared for) they asked me if i had any questions for them, so i asked two questions that very much stumped them as they had no answers for my questions (in case anyone is interested in what one of the questions was i asked them what the demographics of their graduating classes were in the sense that are they choosing to do residencies or work with their licenses directly out of school). they simply told me it was a great question but that they were not equipped with the info neccessary to answer my question. afterwords i thanked each person on my panel personally and shook each persons hand (which was rather difficult with the conference table being very large and the panel members were spread out) but i did it anyway and they seemed surprised by that act as well. all in all it was a great experience and i look forward to hearing back from them regarding if i got in or not, which they said will take up to 4 weeks, so until then, i'll be living in my mailbox awaiting an answer.
you forgot to mention your other question regarding asking the hot panel member for her number. how did that go?
Lol, not quite, but if this counts as a replacement, they asked me a question regarding a current issue in pharmacy. I was asked about a pharmacist who is in the news for refusing to administer birth control pills b/c of his religious beliefs/barriers. i answered by saying that i believe as a professional in any field, especially in health care, that personal beliefs and motives should never be allowed to interfere with patient care (a brief explanation of my answer to them).
