My friend challenged me to find something different to do on a weekend

    Without involving alcohol. He believes people our age (25ish) are just doing the same routine finding ourselves in bars and clubs every weekend. I didn't disagree with him as i have noticed the same thing in my life for a while now. I suggested to him to go camping with me but he refused. He told me to plan something this upcoming weekend. Any suggestions?

    My buddy already goes to the gym a lot. And we don't have money to take a flight to somewhere random. Road trips are possible though, but where?

    Play basketball? Rock climbing? Yoga? (hot girls on the last one)

    I would say golf, fishing, or poker, but those often involve drinking. So do camping and cooking.

    It will have to be something pretty active otherwise people tend to drink while doing it.

    Also there's an all nude bar in the middle of nowhere off I-45. I think the town is Mustang.

    As a college student, I'd agree with Dave. Even if you're not into drinking, good luck finding a group of people who think the same way. Even the most innocent nights almost always end up involving alcohol in some capacity, or end up with people just looking at their phones with a TV on. It's depressing and soul crushing, but it's life. That's why I drink, because no matter what people I surround myself with or what we end up doing, it always sucks if it's sober.

    You have plenty different to do 3 kids and a fat wife later, like playing word games on weekends. Your friend is an idiot. Keep it up, bars and clubs every weekend sounds about right for a 25 year old.
