Merge to the dish if necessary, thanks. [rquoter]HOUSTON - Forward Mike Harris, of the NBA Development League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers, told FOX 26 Sports Tuesday he will sign a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards. It's expected Harris will fill the roster spot that opened when the Wizards lost the newly-acquired Josh Howard for the season because of a knee injury. "I am excited," Harris told FOX 26 prior to boarding a flight to join the Wizards. "Happy to be called up. Anxious to play and grateful for the opportunity." ..... He is currently the NBA D-League's second leading scorer averaging 26.3 points per game. Harris also averages 9.8 rebounds.[/rquoter] http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/nba/100223-mike-harris-to-sign-with-wizards
why cant his azz stick around for more than 2 weeks? He seems to destroy but never can crack an NBA level rotation, weird.
Well, 3 players who started the RGV's last game have been called up. I believe the RGV have had the most players signed from their team this season. They will heavily depend upon Will Conroy and Craig Winder now.
Wish Mike luck with his new team. Wizards have actually looked like a nice team with Arenas/Butler/Jamison all gone.
Yup, I was going to mention that. Antonio Andersen got a 10 day contract with OKC, as we know, Taylor called up and now Harris going to Washington.
Given Josh Howard's out with a torn ACL, Harris will probably end up getting signed for the remainder of the season. Sucks for Howard but glad for Harris.
Glad for Mike. I wish we could have found a spot for him in our rotation, but glad he's getting a shot somewhere.
He pretty much kissed the rockets ass and stayed close to our association, good for him, we do nothing but blue ball the poor guy anyways.
Pure coincidence? Any chance that the Rockets basketball-side management style really has impacted the development of the players?
