My former high school teacher is dating a girl he once taught

One of my male friends taught high school for a while straight out of college. While he mostly was coaching, he did have to teach a History and an English class, juniors and seniors mostly.

He said it was actually really hard to keep your head straight. A surprising number of high school girls will openly flirt with young, male teachers, and most of them are hot. He treaded the straight and narrow and did not do anything to take advantage, but he could see how it would be extremely easy to get caught up in something with a student, especially since the relationships usually begin perfectly tame and appropriate.

I also personally know many TAs and young profs from college, both male and females, that were constantly hit on by students, whether in their classes or not.

 

I knew one girl who got preggers with her band teacher while still in school.

I can't speak for anybody else, but you would not want to see pics of the girl or the teacher from my story.

Just looked up the case again, apparently he's 34, not 40. You'll see what an easy mistake that is to make when you see his pic.

Also, he got 15 years in prison.

When I was in college, there was this office assistant who was smokin' hot. Found out later that she'd begun a relationship with a professor (they later married) while she was still a student. She was 27 when I met her and he was in his 50's.

But it's supposedly frowned upon. I knew a guy who got in trouble for dating a student and he was only a grad assistant.

I think grades K thru 12 should have uniforms. Mostly for that kinda reason.

It wouldnt stop the innuendo or the off campus flirting. It would make some extra-curricular activities kinda lame, all uniformed up... It would put more school focus and resources enforcing "tidiness" that could go otherwise into other educational things. And it probably would NOT help the bottom line of grades and test scores that much.

BUT it'd help prevent a lot of undisciplined behavioral riff raff within the school grounds.

 

My former German teacher was a tutor for Professors at different universities/countries and on the edge of getting Professor and bein head of a University. He then had Sex with a female student and she got a child from him, so he got fired and is now stuck teaching at a mediocre school in a small city. He's an a-hole so I don't really feel sad for him.
You should never have a relationship with your students, it will always go wrong somehow.
