That's terrible and sorry to hear that. I don't think H1N1 is anymore deadly than the regular flu but that humans have no natural immunity to it unlike other flues.
very somber mood here in the office, as expected. went to say something to a coworker only to have her look up at me with bloodshot eyes and running mascara. just wanted to walk right back to my desk.
thats terrible. my neighbor just told me yesterday that she had it. funny thing is that we never really talk other than hi and bye but she seemed very willing to talk about and was probably grateful that it was treated, shes still getting over it.
As someone who just experienced a similar death, its going to be like that for weeks. There's nothing really that you can say. And the funeral will likely be very insane. I know it was for my sister. We probably had 300 teenagers show up between the wake and the funeral... and some came to both. The best thing you can do is just make sure when your co-worker comes back they aren't bombarded with an avalanche of work that has piled up while they were out.
Damn that sucks. A good reminder to go to the doctor early if you're not feeling well. I myself have often been guilty of being determined to fight my way through illness without going to the doctor. Can't afford to do that with this new stuff going around.
