He is a lot closer than chuck hayes than Barkley. I go to UT and have watched his game. He can NOT handle the ball well. He is too small to be a SF, but for being 6'5'' he has a 7' wing span  . I have met and talked to him and can attest to the fact that he defines the term monkey arms. I dont think he has the speed to be a SG, but you never know.

If he learns how to shoot and works on his handles, he could become a decent SF. A best case scenario, he will be a defensive specialist for some team. Barring a complete overhaul of his game, I do not see him becoming a very effective player in any other way.

However, as a UT student and someone who admires the intensity he plays with, I would really like to see him succeed. Just saying that it is more likely he will not given his game at this moment.

I agree with those comparing him to Chuck Hayes because Tucker doesn't have the ball handling to be a small forward. Extremely short power forwards grow on trees. No point in wasting a draft pick on one when you could sign 10 of them out of the NBDL. Sign Marcus Fizer tomorrow if you want that.

We need height, athleticism, and mismatches.

Sorry but I just don't ever see PJ playing PF. That is just a little funny to me but who knows.

PJ is just a warrior with the same kind of aproach to the game when he is on the court as Ellie, Patterson and Sura. A player that will not back down from a challange and has a ton of confidence.

PJ is lacking as a shooter and a passer but he is a tremendus finisher and never gets out hustled. I think he will be far above average as a defender in the league against 2's and 3's.

Can players do that? I thought once you commit to the draft, you cannot enter the draft again...ever.

It's like Spanoulis. Whoever drafts him gets first rights to sign him when he enters the league. I think Portland waited 9 years for Sabonis.

You know who else has that approach? Ryan Bowen.

And it's ELIE! One L! I let it slide the first time, but come on, man! He's a Rockets legend!

At some point- we need people who may not be athletic and defensive stoppers out of the gate- but have the offensive skills.

There are a bunch of second round guys who can shoot- the Steve Novak dude will sound a lot better than Rybo- 18 missed free throws in his career- that is just solid! I dont mind him as specialist who comes to shoot those threes when we need them ( a la padgett)

PJ tucker should shoot- else we dont need another Bogans replica.

    He's worth a 3rd round pick.
