    I think you should TexasFight this all the way to the Supreme Court.

    I know that Ben Civiletti currently has some free time and could probably get you that $168 reimbursement in 4 or 5 hours.

    I was coming out of my neighborhood this morning, and over the weekend, someone spray painted a 35 MPH sign to look like 85 MPH. I am going to take a picture of it tomorrow and take it with me to court after I floor it on the way to work and get pulled over by the Stagecoach Police Department (which they are sure to do).

    Actually, I will be going so fast that the picture of the stop sign will be blurry so I am probably screwed either way.

    Poor analogy. The parking sign makes complete sense without the word "or". Driving 85 mph in a neighborhood does not.

    There are some stupid responses in this thread. It's understandable why you were confused. Do what you can to try and get out of it. In the end, you can't really lose anything else. Minus time that is...

    time is money. he's going to lose either way. pay teh $160 and be done with it. what's the point of spending time and gas in court?

    I agree. $160 is pocket change compared to how much time is wasted fighting this.

    But then, we need people like Sland to take one for society and be a guinea pig to see if there's any hope of reimbursement in this situation.

    It wasn't my car. It was my cousin's sister's car, who wasn't even in town. They got it taken care of though.

    No wonder Illinois is broke - only $160 for getting towed, and $90 for getting caught going 94 MPH in a 65 MPH. :grin:

    Most signs around my college campus are vandalized, so they are generally just disregarded by both drivers and cops

    sucks, but I doubt they care, you will likely not get any money back
