How long ago did you put the radio in. I know a lot of friends who have had similar experience with fancy car systems. Most often when this **** happens, the thief is usually either friends with the people who sold/installed it or the the person himself. This may not be the case dependin on the location you got jacked from, but it happens very often here where I live. (sugar land area)
Smokey THANKS A BUNCH for the info. Its funny, alot of people that watched the new called me right after they heard about it. I was out all day and will call them tommorrow, if they are there. SaFe, I bought it more than a year ago (March 2002), so I dont think that would be the case. As for the rest of yall, I appreciate the thoughts and concerns, hopefully those were the bastards that took them and I will end up getting my radio back. I replaced my passenger side window yesterday and only cost me $95, which aint bad at all, I was expecting to shell out at least $200. Either way, if mine is not there, I'll just buy another one at the end of the month, just not as fancy.
Smokey, what station did u see it on? I looked on Ch. 11, 2, and 13 website, and could not find anything, checked Chronicle's website also, came up with nothing. Just curious, wanted to see if they posted anything on their website and see what I missed. Thanks in advance.
Here's what I found, and I saw it on Channel 13 Eyewitness News. It happened around the Humble area. http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/news/60603_local_teenburglars.html
Thanks BmwM3, wonder if its going to be listed in the paper also. Just watched the report off the website, thats a crap load of radios they stole and cant tell if any of them were mine cause it was a flip face.
I saw the report again and I saw a flip radio (Chamillion)*Spelling*, you were talking about. You should really go and check this out. Hopefully one of those radios stolen by these punks were one of yours.Well Good Luck anyways!!
Thanks again, Im going to contact the officer that I filed the report with since he gave me his card, wish me luck! Just found a site that has the pics of the radio I had: This is what it looked like closing: closed: open: I loved that radio
Creed Sucks. Good luck, with finding the radio. Stupid little kids. I hear it was like a 17 and 14 year odl that stole all that stuff. Too bad, they hadn't found clutchcity.net, so they could be spending their free time posting away, like me, and not stealing stuff.
This is like, the coolest story ever. Setting traps is awesome. On the subject, sorry about your car man. I guess there's one benefit to having a crappy stock stereo...chances are criminals would rather break into a car that has a nice one. But still, you sacrifice being able to jam your funky music really loud.
My dad had his car parked in the Deerbrook parking lot. When we came back to his car, it wasn't keyed, it was freaking knifed. They knifed the doors, the hood, and even the top of the car. How nobody saw this blows my mind. Poor Q45 .
Dude that sucks, sorry to hear that man. I also lost about 30 original CD's when my car got broken into. The best thing to do is to burn a copy of your CD's and leave the originals at home.
If you had caught him or saw him running away, I believe it's legal for you to have shot him in Texas. That's pretty cool.
Even if its not legal, if someone knifed my Q45 and I saw them run away, I'd shoot him at least in the leg. It should be legal. As Vincent Vega once said "you dont f*ck with another mans vehicle"...
