That might explain it. If you ignore someone, their quotes don't show up even if someone else posts it @bobrek has an in with MaW
Got it. @bobrek let me know where to send info. His name is William Plummer. And his mom has given me the ok to do the work on this.
@Roscoe Arbuckle based on the GoFundMe Story, you need to get this kid to game ASAP. Don’t wait for make a wish or anything. Maybe email the astros director of customer relations to see if the kid could meet the players when you all go. Child Life at the hospital may be able to help as well.
Here is the link to use. If you apply somewhere other than the Houston MAW, let me know. https://wish.org/referral-inquiry-form Once you're done, let me know and I'll contact my contact. No promises, but it won't hurt to try.
Just submitted. Name is Jim or James Rassinier His name is William Plummer You have no idea how cool you are. This means a lot.
Don't get your hopes up yet, but I have been told that the CEO of MAW-MN will contact the CEO of MAW-Houston to see if anything can be done. I'll keep you posted when I hear something else.
Hopefully that will give him something fun and positive to focus on while waiting on some good medical news.
Talked to the mom today at brunch. First time she's been out since. William was with his Dad. Son was denied coverage on chemo pills. Never even knew they were a thing and he needs 2/day. 20,000. She b****ed enough but still only got it down to $4,000. Due to his severity on MAW, he was moved to the top of the line, according to his mom. He doesn't understand Make a Wish. His mom asked what his 3 wishes would be. #1. Astros game with an autographed ball by Altuve & Bregman #2. Snowmobiling in Colorado #3. Going to Belize with his brother, because they've done that before. He doesn't even think anything will happen, because they're just wishes... Because of the severity I reached out to my brother who has 100 acres and several ATVs that kid could ride. It isn't the same as a snowmobile, but I love to give him a shot.
If you were to take the ATV idea into Colorado, Lake City right now (for rest of month, mountain wildflower season) is amazing for ATV day trips. Guided tours too. Lake City is a CO playground for Texans, as a main starting point for the Alpine Loop. There are so many Texans there this month at multiple RV parks, I’m willing to bet he’d get some free rides too. But there are multiple rental places in the town, too. Map of Alpine Loop https://www.legendsofamerica.com/co-alpineloop/
Thanks, buddy. I do know she's looking for any help with food & stuff. In the meantime, she has a class she can't drop so I get to do some book reports for her. It's easier than her paying someone to do them. She can't drop the classes, or that'd be what I'd recommend. But I can write a few reviews.
I love that idea, but I think his first wish is the Astros & that seems like the easiest one. I'll keep y'all posted.
The link on the first post but she said venmo takes far less. Venmo #williampstrong2021 Thanks, buddy. I'd do same.
