Hey he auto bumps all my threads We can call him BumbleBee Cause he’s an auto bot @Os Trigonum @AroundTheWorld
Any more drive by shootings in Travis heights ? @Deckard What about circle C or Westlake ? Chris Bosh lives in Steiner , should be be worried it’s just like LA? @AroundTheWorld @King1
OP might curse at me next but I think @King1 (and @Reeko) deserve an apology OP hasn’t posted since but is lurking. … “Last Activity: 8h 18m ago” Blatz asked twice for a case number…assuming he got nothing? KingCheetah asked for follow-ups To recap: -Brother allegedly shot in the face while jogging -Jogging in the park at night -Jogging during “sudden weather changes”/“inclement weather” -Jogging “toward/by a main road” because “it was starting to rain hard” -“There is no political slant” (as he posted in the D&D—“too alarming for the hangout”) -Police: “This was a common drive-by shooting” -Police: “Too minor to follow up on” -Police: “Shootings during inclement weather is a common occurrence” -Police: “Will not be following up” -Police: “Don’t let this be your 9/11” APD Incident Reports Database https://www.austintexas.gov/police/reports/search2.cfm?startdate=07/14/2022&numdays=1&address=&rucrext=&tract_num=&zipcode=78704&zone=&district=&city=&choice=criteria&Submit=Submit Did you take it to the news? Did they laugh at you? “Looking to spread awareness, get more coverage out there. Can you help? My brother was shot jogging in the park during the rain storm last night.” News: “Why was he jogging in the rain storm? … So what happened next?” “Well the police told him don’t let this be his 9/11 and shootings during a rain storm are common and will not be following up.” News: …
Again… Circle C, westlake, and steiner ranch are not the same thing as travis heights. All one has to do is look at the school ratings to see they aren’t comparable. Travis heights is a nice enclave in a not so great area. Some will point to trendy SoCo to argue but they clearly aren’t that familiar with Austin.
if this story is real, I’ll eat crow, but I just can not buy that drive-by shootings are common occurrences in safe Austin neighborhoods…so common in fact, that the police deem it too minor to follow up on and the “don’t let this be your 9/11” is such a strange thing to say to someone who just got shot in the face A drive-by shooting in a safe Austin neighborhood might as well be the same as someone shoplifting?
FYI... A shooting like this would be on all Austin news 24/7 -- especially if there wasn't an arrest.
