    How are they better?

If you're going to say they're better than Paul at least give some kind of defense/backing.

Out of the 13 players you listed, only 6 of them are better than Paul.

Bam! That's the only reason I could see NO trading CP, which is pretty obvious (love the way you put it), if unlikely. I'm a big Scola fan and love Brooks, but if given the chance (which I doubt) you simply have to aquire Chris Paul. The guy is the walkin', talkin' definition of a top ten, best at his position stud player. Yeah, he's been a "punk" before when playing the Rocks and has pissed me off, but that's part of the "edge" that elevates him above the competition.

DD, Wafer acted like a punk going off on Adelman in the middle of the playoffs, but you wouldn't hesitate to get him back. Yet he couldn't shine CP's shoes. I just don't get it.

You don't need to get it. If DD states it, then it's as good as the gospel. There's no need for any kind of evidence because things that he throws out are flat out facts. Just like that atrocious list of players he threw up there that are better than Chris Paul.

chris paul is better than nash now, and arguably as good as nash during the mvp years. duncan? really? stoudamire? roflmao. pierce is not better than paul, garnett is arguable. dirk is a wash. the only 4 players i'd rank ahead of paul for sure are wade, anthony, lebron, and kobe.

See comments above. I don't think some of those dudes are better than Paul at all, and some clearly aren't better for our franchise from a long term perspective considering their ages. Paul is 24 (younger than Brooks by a few months). For example, KG is better than Durant this season....but no team would trade Durant for KG.

Would Brooks even make a top 50 list?

Point is unless you are on crack (just jokes DD) or extremely stubborn, CP3 is going to be on pretty much everyone's top 10 list. Brooks????

They are not facts...just people I like better than CP3.

And you guys are right, I think he is a punk and don't want him which clouds my judgement.

only problem is that trade has no chance at working. nola would be trading away like 37.5 million in salary.

lol, that is just ridiculous. outside of #1 and 2, the rest are either arguable or laughable.

amare stoudamire? dwight howard? anthony? durant? lol

this is a PG i'm talking about: 20 points, 11 dimes, 52% fg, 45% 3s, 5 boards, 2 steals, with legit defense. that's a darn near perfect player.

    Clearly, lol.

Next time just say ya don't like the dude. No shame in backing off a ridiculous post, ie he isn't a top player or Brooks is close. All this stuff is opinionated but come on, lol....just let it go sometimes. Every team in the league outside of Utah and maybe Chicago would gladly give up their PG and a player they some expirings for Paul.

I said as much too...that I would give up McGrady and Brooks....

However, I don't think it makes the team that much better as giving up McGrady and getting a wing that can score etc....

lol why get chris paul when we have brooks? no brooks is not better than paul but brooks is playing good and the point gaurd position isnt the rockets weakness at this time so why trade away good players for a position were ok at anyways? what we need is a good center and trade a wing and mcgrady

Sorry buddy, I guess 12/30/09 is "Everyone dump on DaDakota day".

    Next up???

I think you're crazy for not wanting Paul and only giving up Tracy (not much) McGrady and Aaron (late 1st rounder) Brooks for a potential Hall of Famer in Chris Paul, but you have your opinion and we have ours.

You do know that it would never be Tracy + AB = CP3 right. They will be adding more bad contracts, ie Peja, Posey, etc. Just sayin.

What wing can we get that is a better scorer than Paul? You might be thinking I'm throwing stones at you, DD, but if Paul was available for the taking, what other options are out there that are better than Paul? The guy shoots at a 50% clip and is hovering around 40% from 3 point land.
