I think Brown would be a great coach for EG. I think with Brown we would see vast improvement for every player on the Rockets. I'm not very big on Paul Silas, he did a great job for the Hornets but then he just gets fired? Why, makes no since to me. Maybe something was going on that the public does not know about?

first things first, if we wanna see him be a great player, remove him from smoking and being addicted to dope. next, give him a mentor that will teach him pure pf skills. when KT was here, i watched a practice one time and i saw him and EG one on one. KT was teaching EG some great pf skills and it sorta was a loss for EG that KT was traded coz now, aint nobody teaching him how to be a real pf. we need someone who can work out with EG and make him an elite player.

Not trying to starting anything, but since when has KT been a
real pf? The guy was tweener written all over him.

That's why I want to keep him.

He's a good 3rd, 4th guy, behind Yao, Francis, and Mobley.

We still do need a real PF, though.

It's funny that you said that. I never really considered it before but EG's game definitely fell of after KT left. Not that there was far to fall of course. :(

Remember this is the same management that traded Zo Mourning for Rice. Also remember that Bob Bass and compnay gaveaway a young talent like Ricky Davis in the Eddie jones for Mashburn trade. Why are they still looking for a 2 guard to compliment Davis?

Exactly, the Hornets ownership got away from the problem they created in Carolina, they were given a fresh start in New Orleans and the ownership is starting to blow it again. I am from New Orleans and this is the basic feelings of all fans. He shouldnt have been fired period. it will take a big name to make there elite players want to continue to play for this team. And dont expect any of the Hornets players to be LOYAL when they become free agents. It will be easy pickings from that franchise. Sorry for going off topic. Carry on

I agree with the statement on EG. And not only would Brown (if he were to become the coach) stem EG's growth as a player but also Boki's development as well. I like the players the Rockets have, I just don't feel they were put in the best position to be successful.

my only real big knock on griffin's development so far is that he doesnt drive too much from his spot up position. he is agile and is explosive enough to throw down on people but he settles. bottom line eddie isnt aggressive enough but do not trade him i see a potential star there in the making

I agree he needs to get more aggressive, but that comes with being more confident. I'm hoping that the coach new turns on the light in EG head and he starts playing like his is capable of.

Hold up. Why you talkin' 'bout practice? Was this just a shootaround at Westside or what? Voluntarily going out and practicing his shooting when the NBA season isn't even over yet doesn't seem like a bad thing to me.

I tend to agree on Griffin unless something unbelievable comes along like a Brand. Griffin is still only a senior in college and we've seen many young players who leave school early like him before fade into mediocrity early in their careers before all of a sudden busting onto the scene (does anyone remember Jermaine O' Neal's 3 or 4 years with the Portland Trailblazers??). It's hard to patient as a fan. This guy was projected as the best player coming out of college a couple of years ago. I'd hate to trade him for nothing only to see him flourish in a year or two. On the other hand, there have been plenty of players like him that never did turn out. Hard call. I say give Griffin a chance under Larry Brown to see what happens.........unless that killer offer comes along.

I just hope Eddie gets it together! He needs to go to the basket but doesnt he shoot like 60 something % from the line! My problem is all the 3's he jacks up! He does shoot 30 something % from the 3 pt line but he needs to show that he can play in the paint and also has range from 3!! He kinda plays like Rasheed (NOW) except Rasheed dunks way more than Eddie! When was the last time Eddie dunked in a game!!!

I think EG does have a good post game, why he does not use it I don't know. I he had a post game in college, but he was also one of the bigger players on the court. He is not going to learn how to be a good post player though by jacking up 3's. He has to get in the post, even if he is smaller than alot of the players in the NBA.

I know! C'mon some guards make a living in the paint now a days!! How is a PF going to live at the 3 pt line! I heard he was just so good in college and now he looks like CRAP!!!:( Sad!!

Yea, That's what Rudy T did to him. He would not tell him to go into the paint. Rudy T had no control over his team at all.
